Shields (Aeron Shield) can still use Sodium/Sodium Nitrate and RS replaces Starshield Batteries
Pulse Engine (Luminance Engine) uses Tritium and RS instead of Pyrite
Launch Thruster (Anti-Gravity Well) uses Pugneum instead of Uranium and RS instead of Launch Fuel
Warp Drive (Crimson Core) still uses Warp Cells/Warp Hypercore and adds RS as an extra alternative.
Radiant Shards can only be found on Dissonant planets, but are easily harvested and stockpiled, so a Sentinel Ship can have a stack of a single material to do all its recharging if desired, but they can also be used (less efficiently) with no Radiant Shards whatsoever. The Pugneum requirement for launch Thrusters can be reduced by upgrading them to use less fuel each take-off, and using the auto-recharge upgrade. I very rarely have to top them up.
It is not that special, and you can collect as many as you like at any time by going to the Planet of Dissonance.
