Cannot find secure depot waypoint.

I've got two delivery missions where I had to leave the initial system to get the stuff. Now I don't remember what the initial system was where I got the mission. I'm trying to head towards the current mission objective on the galactic map, but I have no idea how far away it is and it doesn't show up on the galactic map.

Is there a way to do this better? Or are are the galactic map way points just not that useful?

If you have that mission active then only the galaxy map there should be a path option leading back to that system. If you teleported to a different system you might be very far away.

If you stopped at the space station in the mission system, then that system should appear in the station list. The most recent systems you visited should be at the top of the list.

Usually, my experience is you are given the item to be delivered (don't sell it...like I have done by accident). You go to another nearby system to deliver it- usually it is a trade center.

You interact with the commerce ball at the trade center and you are technically done. You do have to go to ANY station to get the reward. I usually just go to the one in the system where I dropped it off.

If you are struggling, try going to the station and see if the system pings an icon on the teleport listing. If there is a quest, it usually shows that.

If you did sell it by accident, you need to find another replacement item- or just abandoned the mission. Usually abandoning is the simpler solution- and the knowledge to be more careful in the future with someone's stuff. I have sold or kept it because it was worth more to me than the reward...game is odd sometimes.
