Hello. I don´t know how to find a fishing rod. It´s a side mission?
And how do I find a fishing spot?
Please help me

The fishing rod is a multi-tool technology, you get the blueprint by visiting the Anomaly and paying a nanite at the multi-tool tech vendor. (Eos is his name, iirc). Installing it is the same as installing a terrain manipulator or multi-tool weapon.

There's no such thing as "fishing spots" in NMS. Once you have a rod on your multi-tool, you just cycle to make it the active tool and cast into a body of water.

There is an upgraded rod that was a Expedition reward, Aquarius, which will rerun as a Redux Expedition from January 8 to January 22nd, with neat posters and other items as well for rewards.

Also the fishing raft is available at the Anomaly for purchase to store your caught fish in, I believe part of the Exosuit NPC choices.

Good fishing spots are either right beside islands in 20u to 40u of water or in the deeper seas at 50+u in depth. Personally, I like taking my starship out and hovering above the water (with water landing jets installed in tech slot (see anomaly)) and fishing off the back of the ship in 60 or 70u waters. Only the finest using some specialized lures.

you will also want to unlock the fish trap you can place 3 and catch them the lazy wayand then store them in your skiff

you can fish in any water... just switch your multitool to the fishing rod, and use it at any water... the tips about deep water are for better fish, but not required if it's for a side mission or just to try it out..

if your ship has the aquatic landing gear you can even stand on top of your ship and fish off it in on deep ocean planets. works great for storm fishing, need to get out of the storm to recharge? just jump in the ship real quick, recharge, jump back out.
