Iron Vulture
I haven't played this game since, like, forever or when it first came out. If I begin the Adrift start I'm guessing I can only play it until the 25th then its game over. Perhaps a good way to get my feet wet as I can't remember anything. The ship you get in Adrift, the Iron Vulture, do you get to keep it when you go back to any other play mode or is it only for the Adrift start?

You get to keep it, but, the cockpit view has significant obstruction, but its a good ship with outstanding shield capacity.

Starting a new game in an expedition is a good way to advance in the game much faster than you would normally. After the expedition ends, you get to keep that character and ALL the stuff - but not if you started the expedition from another saved game.

Yes.... well, i have not personally done it, but i have been told by other players that you can start a game directly into an expedition, and after you complete the expedition, it becomes your main save.

You can start the expedition as a new save, which will then convert to a normal save at completion and you get to keep everything. This is how I do the expeditions. Your previous games remain undisturbed. You can have up to 15 different saves now.

I just read the same thing in an earlier post. Again thank you.

Adrift expedition expires Dec 25th and then you will be able to do the redux of Liquidators, Aquarius and The Cursed, in that order, for 2 weeks at a time. Each expedition only takes about 6 hours total if you're not rushing it. Some can be speed run in less than 2 hours.

Expeditions can either be run from a brand new save file from the main game menu or you can run them from an existing save file from the terminal at the Anomaly. New saves will convert to a separate non-expedition save at the completion (or expiry) of the Expedition with everything collected retained. Existing saves can copy items back from the Expedition to the "main save".

All phase rewards earned during an Expedition (including the Iron Vulture starship and Ship of the Damned frigate) can be claimed on any save from the Quicksilver vendor in the Anomaly.

ok thank you. I just popped in to expedition and was totally lost, lol. Couldn't even figure how to get inside the Iron Vulture. If Expeditions only take 8 hours or so I think it best for me to do a normal game for the tutorial then delete it and start the expedition. Your help here was very valuable. Thank you.

That ship wont be the iron eagle, you get that at the end.

I don't know if the regular game tutorial is going to make you feel not lost??

Might be easier to just watch a NMS youtube video on the basics and watch one for the expedition too, then keep going with the expedition?

Good suggestion there with youtube. I deleted that expedition save after the ship i found and though was the Iron Vulture poofed. Think a worm destroyed it. I'm off to youtube land for a refresher. thanks.

Worms don't destroy things. Your ship probably flew off, because of not being your ship.
I had that happen, another persons ship was parked very close to mine, it did create a moment or two of confusion, like why can't i get in my ship? Oh yeah, its not my ship.

my ship tonight was found stuck inside a building - you need to click around a bit to get inside.

I used to do expeditions with all my saves to get the QS. Now I just transfer over from my main save and just play it, maybe one other save. I recently started a new save with the Cursed Expedition and it has now almost caught up to my main save with 100 fewer hours.
