Exactly why I like to do it that way....I'm not entirely sure. I guess I just like to have a 'backup' available.
Worth noting I haven't tried it in a few years, so it might have changed. Also worth noting you can still do what I mentioned above, just do an expedition and claim it on the expedition. Then you can transfer it back to your main playthrough via the terminal.
Things are claimable from expeditions even if you have already claimed them on the save slot you started the expedition from.
If I'm right, I don't think that will be the case with this one. From the sounds of it, it's going away at the end of Adrift. And there's a bit of irony since we can't access the quicksilver vendor in this expedition...

Note I'm talking about on the same playthrough; you can claim it on all of your different saves (if you have multiples).
ok so my issue was solved CLOSE the game wait 10mins then relaunch & see if the option is there cause it was for me.
Also Jerk Move this thing is a "FREE SHIP" it still costs 1,600 Nanites so not free in game
