So... the new starborn runner is just an exotic (stats and rank wise) and with the hyperdrive range of an explorer, but with a very bad supercharged slots layout ?

That's... err.... a bit underwhelming...

I was thinking of a pie. [Pie case+ meaty wings], but the recipe could have been lost in translation. My Vy'keen is still at the 'point and shout loudly' stage. ( They are just soooo butch and aggressive sounding that I can't concentrate on the translator.)

My save is from 2018 (?). But I always played on PC.
You can unlock those pre-order blueprints with the save editor (I also got the boltcaster SM that way).

A little off topic, but whatever happened with the new space station design that the Starborn Runner was leaving in the promo video? Is that in the regular game or anywhere to be seen yet?

the runner is amazing, as a guaranteed early-game S-class with good stuff already slotted. i just did a permadeath run (and got the achieve) after doing the expidition, and it really helped to get the runner and staff.

late game? its another ship and it looks cool.

Apologies, we have a difference in terminology... I wouldn't claim anything if I'm using the save editor... I mean I "could" make my expedition save have the unique Switch only ship (using the editor). Kind of doesn't mean much, that's all

ah yes... didnt see that trailer... it looks like it has 2 entrance too.... but more importantly it's way bigger than current space stations which still suffer a lot of glitches since the starship resizing patch. It's about time they replace the old model....

I use the save editor no problem, even the J-son editor but I try to restrain myself to things I have no other way obtaining... never directly the items or currencies themselves. Also to unlock stuffs from expeditions I didnt run....
I also use it to check stats on stuffs and archive my old starships, multi-tool, freighters bases before scrapping/changing them.
If you're not parcimonious with the editor, there's no point in playing the game anymore...

Well, if your wanting to feel like you earned the slot layout, go about finding a ship that does have the layout you want then do a "cosmetic upgrade" to it by deleting it and editing the starborn runner with that layout.

I tend to do the same thing and avoid the non-cosmetic expedition/twitch rewards in new games with the exception of the Normandy and leviathan frigates.

Nah... I'll just keep it as a packmule/collectible.... already got a good fleet of starships, all with perfect SC slots layout and more importantly all white.... the SR isnt white so it hardly fit in the "flyable starship" category for me.

Of course it's coming in 2024... it SAID that in the video...
