how to unlock the anomoly in expedition 12

what am i missing here. the game is telling me to expand the base to claim the reward for a hyperdrive, how the hell do i unlock the anomoly. it says to expand the base but i cant do that if i cant board the anomoly to buy the required construction research module.

Use X, while in your ship, in space. You should see an icon that lets you call the anomaly to you

that didnt work, x is the landing command on my controller, when i pull open the quick menu there is no option to summon the anomoly

The 2nd milestone in phase one is to build the basic base (Homecoming) - iirc, the research for all required parts were provided. Then you get the Hyperdrive plan and after your first warp, Nala initiates comms and summons you to the Anomaly and you can then summon it from the quick menu thereafter. You will need to buy research plans for the decorate the base (Expansion) milestone in phase 2.

its telling me to build the construction research terminal, i cant do that, its not available.

okay i figured it out, they force u to build certain quantities of base parts before the quest continues

fyi if you end up playing this for awhile you'll begin to realise the importance of carefully reading the mission log AND the mission tips/hints (bottom right main screen)

Generally, in expeditions, you cannot access the anomaly until you warp at least once. They usually make it so you can't summon the Anomaly in the system you start in, usually because they lock the Hyperdrive behind one of the milestones and they want you to finish that and not cheese your way out of it and buy the Hyperdrive plans from the Anomaly.

this was indeed the case, it was because one of the milestones was requirements for constructing a base. that was the only way to unlock the hyper drive. however the actual requirements were not listed in the mission detail under the start menu. it was only when randomly glancing in the bottom right corner what it was demanding.
