I just finished the Expedition but am unable to get the new ship
As the title says I finished the expedition. I returned to my normal save and I was able to make the staff but unfortunately the ship it lets me make is the sentinel ship that I got in the course of the expedition. I have no way to get the fancy ship that is supposed to be the reward for this quest line!
Does anyone know how to fix this issue? I was really excited for the ship. :steamsad:

Normally you claim Expedition rewards from the Quicksilver vendor in the Anomaly. Not sure if that’s how it still works when starting it from an existing save.

Did you claim your ship on the final phase overview page?
It should be claimable at the quicksilver vendor for expedition rewards after that. I got mine yesterday!

What I noticed is that they did add a nanite cost for the ships, or is that just me? As I did try to get my ships claimed on a new save and couldn't because the added cost.

Correct

When the first Expedition ship, the Golden Vector hit some were outraged that they had to pay 1400 nanites... blah... blaah and blh. Come to find out, for those that paid attention, we were NEVER charged the 1400 nanites...... until
<pause for dramatic affect>
the Omega update.

I believe and I'm speculating here; it's because they (HG) feel claiming any of the Expedition ships immediately after starting a new expedition trivializes a lot of it. Thus NOW you must pay 1400 nanites for ANY of the three Expedition ships.

But then they (HG) go and make it simple to start on an existing save so that as soon as you get to the Anomaly, you can give yourself thousands of nanites and millions of units - just doesn't add up.

TL;DR
YES you must pay nanites to claim Expedition ships from QS vendor
