Dissonant system, planet, no dissonance
First time I can recall seeing this... but I am in a system tagged as Dissonant. I found the only planet in the system showing dissonance. I landed, jumped out and started scanning, walking, looking.

There's nothing. Nothing you would expect to find on a dissonant planet. Not one crystal.

I though oh, I'll jump in and out of the ship for a quick save, exit the game, restart it after a while, it'll all be good. But no. Still nothing.

Have you experienced this too? tia

Hm, nope, have never encountered something like this. Can you do a few screenshots? The planet's page in the Discoveries menu and the actual planet's surface?
I would land on the other planets just to check. Sometimes the in space or freighter scanning doesn't match when you land.
it can and does happen. Why, I dunno. Often those worm infested planets get marked as dissonant despite there being no Atlantidium, Radiant Shards, Harmonic Camps, etc
As to screenshots, the Steam andor in-gme screen shots don't work for me for the display of glyphs. I've tried many times to get it to work but it just won't. Used to be fine, worked every time but after one update, some time back, it stopped working.

@Sentient_Pickle probably just nailed it. There were flying worms, not the ground worms, but flying worms.

I'll see if I dropped a base on it, or somehow named it just in case I can get some shots.
I think I ran into it once. The POIs, like the repair/slot deal, would still scan up the autophage dudes, but there was absolutely no crystals or typical things to fight.

It was kind of nice to just focus on upgrading my rep with them instead of screwing around with the purple sentinels.
If the dissonant planet is in an uninhabited system (with either an abandoned space station or no space station at all) there will be no finding any crashed sentinel ships or finding sentinel camps. Same if the dissonant planet is a "dead" planet or moon even in a populated system.

Even so, every once in a while I've found a populated dissonant planet with no sentinel ships... and another where there were 2 dissonant planets, where when i scanned, went to an encampment and scanned for a crashsite, it always pointed to the second planet.

So their are variables among the 18+ quintillion planets

also happens on water worlds tagged as dissonant

You probably turned them off. I don't know what the keyboard key is, but you can turn them on/off at will. It should tell you which key on the bottom banner when you enter photo mode.

F12 on the keyboard to take a picture. If you click Steam menu and then settings, click on Cloud, turn the screanshot window to pop up after you close the game. When you upload, make sure you change the setting to public, or we can't see posted pics.
Indeed I have found dissonant systems without any real dissonance at all.
I have found them with planets that have the crystals but no interceptor ships.
The echo locator says, nope, nothing here. They are out there. Annoying as hell frankly. LOL

Just to confirm: Autophages (NPCs) can totally appear on non-dissonant planets - it's normal and seems to be quite intentional.

That's not exactly what the OP has mentioned - they claim to have come across a planet with NO crystals despite being identified as dissonant. The presence of crystals is what's important. Dissonant systems where the main dissonant planet is of the "anomalous" or "dead" variety (like "Cabled" or "Lifeless", for example) seem to be intentionally devoid of Sentinel Interceptors and Harmonic Camps despite still being covered in crystals.
I have yet to get back into the game where this happened. But yes, it identified as a dissonant planet but there was nothing on the planet related to that classification.
Okay - here, using my names for the glyphs, is where you want to go, in Euclid:

dinosaur, sunrise, bird, galaxy, flux capacitor, flux capacitor, balloon, sunrise, sunrise, eclipse, flux capacitor, bird

The system name is Sabellak, the planet in question is Ubush Beta.

On the discoveries page for the system Sabellak, Ubush Beta is categorized with Dissonance detected.

During approach, a scan using your ship scanner, this dissonance is not listed in the planet attributes.

Once you go planet side, there's nothing dissonant about the planet - at least for me.

Look forward to hearing what you find. tia

Uhmm... Are you sure about the address? I might have interpreted some of your glyphs wrong, so please use the names or their numerical values from here next time: https://nomanssky.fandom.com/wiki/Glyph

So, here is the planet (the Glyphs are shown in the lower left corner)? But everything is wrong - the system and all the planets are different.

Using the 'official' glyphs:

diplo, sunset, bird, galaxy, atlas, atlas, balloon, sunset, sunset, eclipse, atlas, bird

I was close on those official names. Sunrise is more optimistic than sunset I think.

Yeah, maybe except for the "Atlas" one which is totally dissimilar to "Flux Capacitor" in both shape and name :steamfacepalm:
