No, the Purge cannot be repeated within a single save (nor can any other story missions).
The only way to reach a new galaxy after that mission is complete is to reach the core of your current galaxy. You wont get an option for the next galaxy, you'll just go to the next one in the list.
edit: actually, it's also possible to reach a new galaxy by joining another player in one and then claiming a base so you can return there after leaving the session.
Or by teleporting to a base via the anomaly (afaik there are only 2 or 3 that can be reached that way)
I go to the featured Apothecary base whenever I want to go to Isdoraijung galaxy. It's one of the lush galaxies with more than the usual amount of nice weather planets.
If you do the Artemis/Purge way of going to a lush galaxy, then choosing the green one from the four choices will also take you to the next lush galaxy that comes after whichever galaxy you're in at the moment.
Combine the methods so that you get put into a galaxy "deeper" down the list of galaxies:
If you complete The Purge from #1 Euclid galaxy, and pick Lush, you end up in #10 Eissentam.
BUT INSTEAD: If you go to Isdoraijung galaxy first (via that featured Apothecary base), then "reset" The Purge so it works from within Isdoraijung - and then do The Purge (from within Isdoraijung) - if you pick Lush from there, you end up in #30 Sudzerbal instead.
That's a pretty nice jump to deeper down in the galaxy list.
