Bad frames and weird issues, need help
My computer runs on a RTX 4060, decent CPU and 32 gigs of RAM. I play on strictly High settings, and a FPS cap of 90... But I get 30 FPS and my GPU usage is in the 90's.

Also, whenever I do certain technical actions my frames drop to 5-10 and GPU usage shoots to 100%. These actions include:
Changing settings, Minimizing game, pressing the windows key, and sometimes booting the game on a paradise planet.

Has anybody else had this problem and How can I fix it?

Minimizing the game (alt/tab or windows key) will sometimes cause my FPS to tank. Usually if I just alt/tab again it clears up.

There have been reports that Nvidia's latest 50 series drivers cause issues with 40 series cards, Gamers nexus did a report on this recently. Depending on your driver version it might be worth checking out their vid and rolling back to an earlier driver.

Funny thing is... I had the same exact issue with my old PC (RTX 2060) Even having the issue before the 50 series came out
If you're ALWAYS starting the game at that 30fps, vs. loading the game and first getting 60+fps and having it drop after an hour etc, I've seen some posts where making sure nvisia's Low Latency Mode is off (in Nvidia control panel) has helped.

May not apply for you, ofc, but if you have that checked/on, try turning it off. If you like it on for other games, make a profile for NMS - if there isn't one already - and set it off just for NMS. That's about all I got, outside of the usual clean uninstall/clean resintsall of drivers and other similar.
