Ancient bones
Hello fellow travelers,

Back in the sky again after some time. Question about my usual way of making my first 20 million on a new save. I used to find a system with a planet or two with ancient bones as a named resource. Run from hole to hole digging them up looking for the yellow quality bones usually worth 1-1.5 million a pop. It seems with the recent update, there are dangerous guardians at the bonesites causing me to die very quickly with minimal exosuit / multi tool upgrades. Are all the bonesites like this? Are ancient bone piles no longer early game viable money pits?

Any help or thoughts would be appreciated.

Stay safe amongst the stars.

If you are thinking profit, got the wrong game. The real issue is avoiding hitting the $4B+ max credit list.
I only worry about it early game until i have enough $ to pick a decent "first" ship. and then i go out into the universe and touch it.

They did specify that this was their method for at their "first 20 million on a new save", so your comment is missing the point. You definitely do need to gather some funds in the very beginning.

Here's an easy method. Hurry your way to the Anomaly and buy the trade rocket...
You can visit trade outpost on a planet, buy the discounted goods and immediately sell via the rocket... this only gets you the basic price rather than the +% in the appropriate system. but it's a handy way to make a quick chunk of units while you have limited inventory for carrying trade goods, or haven't got a decent MT setup for farming sentinels
