I have caught over 200 fish and I can't catch the ratfish, that's all I need to do to finish all the stages of the expedition.

Can anyone give me some tips?

There is a description, I know
I tried it in the toxic world and at night with three types of bait.
I caught legendary, rare, etc.
The maximum depth I fished was 45, could it be because of the depth!?

I caught mine on a waterworld at Rendezvous 3 or 4 system. Took all 40 pieces of reward bait to get one.

RV 3 has two water worlds. Land on the darkside, Depth is ~800u ;), and I didn't use all my lures.

That depth is actually not ideal at all, you're more likely to catch colossal fish than large ones. You still have a chance to hook them, but it's much lower than at the appropriate depth
