Dissonance Resonator and Echo Locator
Do Echo Locator's still drop from Dissonance Resonators? I have destroyed 30 Dissonance Resonators and have yet to get an Echo Locator.

yes, I think it's a 10% chance...
If you walk right up beside them without attacking, then you can see what they'll drop before you bother to start a fight

You can also get them as a random drop from the large corrupt quads

You can see what Dissonance Resonator holds without destroying it.
A month ago I was farming sentinel ships and yes, sometimes you can run into a situation where many DR's hold a mirror, but then once I had around 4-5 DR's in a row which had Echo ;)

Hmm... I seem to get better odds than 20% on average... I guess I get lucky. :-)

I once had a (pleasant) Dissonant planet where I suppressed the Sentinels. I ran ALL over collecting Resonators and Shards. The first 12 or so DRs were all Mirrors, but by the time I had 50-60 Mirrors, it had evened out to about 8:1.

The save I'm currently playing the most, early on it went something like:

Killed 20 resonators. Got around 7 Echo Locators. Nice.
Killed 30 more resonators. Got zero Echo Locators. Not so nice.

RNG is fun. :D
