Nutrient Processor Won't Make Bone Marrow

UPDATE: I'm so sorry for wasting everyone's time on this, and I feel incredibly dumb right now. I had a FAST REFINERS mod installed and that was the culprit. Removed the mod and everything works. Ugh!

ORIGINAL POST: I've put fossilized bones in every slot in the Nutrient Processor, but it won't make bone marrow for me, it just shows a red bar stating "Requested Operation: Unavailable"

I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. I've dug up every kind of fossilized bone, even gotten them from the Sales Gek, and it still won't let me make any of the fossils into bone Marrow.

When you say every slot, was that all at once? If it is working properly, you need one stack of bones in one slot, and the softened marrow should show up on the output side. Putting anything in the other two slots, even more bones, will mess it up.

Also, which nutrient processor are you using? The experimental mode has a fix for "allow more than one player to use Cronus' Grill at once", so if you are trying to use that one, and multiplayer is on, you might still have problems. There was also a bug with the worlds 2 update earlier this year that messed up some people's freighter cooking rooms - the fix for that is to add a new processor room and delete the old one.

Put the Bone in with either meat, or a 2nd bone (1 bone in each slot). I don't know why the game doesn't tell you this, unless it's an unintended bug.

You also get softened bone marrow from the paleo dig guy's wheelie barrows. There's always one that is kind of hard to see and it will have one or two. Gotta snoop around a bit. I had 4 by the time I finished with third dig. One of them in ea of two slots gets you broth. Nothing fancy.

I'm using the Nutrient Processor that was given to me from completing one of the milestones. I should've been more clear, but yes, I only used one of each slot each time, two slots, and also all three trying to get this thing to work. Do I need a certain type of fossilized bone? Do I need to add something else with the bone? I can't seem to get the softened marrow. I'm at the point where I'm going to beg for it at the Anomaly

You can collect pre-processed marrow from the wheelbarrows at every Dig site. I never made one manually at all.
Otherwise, there are multiple steps in the cooking process.
Any ONE fossil bone = Marrow
Any TWO Marrow (or ONE marrow + ONE dead creature meat) = Broth

Broth milestone needs broth.
Cronus milestone needs marrow, not broth.

I did this and was able to get enough Softened Marrow, but now I have a new problem... I can't make Bone Broth either.

The TWO marrow need to be in separate input slots, not two in one.

And Cronus needed from me anyway two of the BROTHS which is why the suggestion was to make two BROTH. Man, this feels way harder than it should have to be. If you just buy the stupid cooker at the anomaly you could finish this after visiting the second dig site. LOL

So after rejecting the first broth you give them, you give Cronus another broth which they accept? Interesting tactic. Spends 4 marrow instead of 1, but if it works, great.
I would suspect there is a RNG dice-roll whenever you present a non-qualifying item (e.g. broth) and you hit the jackpot on roll #2.

Yeah, I had already made two from marrow I got from wheelbarrows so it's not like I actually had to do anything - and Chronis is known for not liking everything he's offered. Iirc it actually says it may take more than one. Anyway, I realize my efforts were less than the usual expectation for perfection but I dunna give much of a $hit atm. I think your term "non-qualifying" is bogus, just so you know... Game just might let us think a little outside of the "bait-box". (pun almost intended) It's all good.

Bone Appetit

Feed a bone to Iteration Cronus.
Cronus may prefer the bone cooked rather than raw.
Find Cronus near their grilling array.

It does not ask for more than one.
1 (A/The) cooked bone = 1 softened marrow.

1 softened marrow = 100% success rate for the milestone 1st try, every time.
