Exchanged starting ship for better one I found - and now noticed this one has no hyperdrive! I'm in a starting system.

did you sell/scrap the other one:riddle:
yeah, stewpid me! I've found another, no hyperdrive either. Now I'm at trading post but ships are circling and don't want to land so I can buy one!

just start over.
*sigh* every time... the same rookie mistake :steamfacepalm:
And I guess you don't have the blueprint either? Have you tried clicking on an empty tech slot (upper row) to see if you can craft a new hyperdrive by yourself?

If one can be rookie after 2000 hrs, than I am. Yes, I've tried everything apart from save editor. The best thing is that no NPC ships land in stations or trade outposts, there is a topic about it here on Steam. NEVER had this problem, obviously a bug and like hell I'm gonna start again.

Negative, although we do know the Atlantid Drive blueprint (which we need since at least 1 rendezvous system is in a purple system).

It will be interesting once the "no NPC ships landing" bug is patched whether any buyable ships have one in the starter system. It is available from Hyperion in the Anomaly but you can't summon the Anomaly in the starter system.

I think this is an intelligence test by HG after last time.

You trading in your spaceship with vital equipment onboard isn't a bug. Pilots not landing IS a bug and is going to be fixed in the next patch. Your only options right now are to either look for another crashed spaceship POI on the planet or to restart the Expedition from scratch on a new save file. You have 2000+ hours in NMS and still haven't learnt to wait at least some time before jumping head-first into a new update/Expedition... since there'll almost always be significant day-one bugs.
I just completed the expedition and noticed the Hyperdrive b/p was awarded. <- kind of the same as the Terrain Manipulator last expedition??

There is a menu item to add to the collection.
Only a player with a module can help you if you can't find a station that offers a module.
You can also add an additional module to such expeditions when you start them.
Something like this has already happened to me and then I started again.

No, the Hyperdrive tech module itself cannot be uninstalled by packaging up and cannot be passed between players. It is a core tech like the Launch Thruster, Pulse Engine, Shields. Upgrade modules (e.g. the Atlantid drive upgrade) can be.

God knows how many ships I've salvaged in expeditions and it's never been like this. In titan expedition there was a dissonant planet and everyone was trading up for sentinel interceptors, it all worked. So, you don't know what you are talking about. I've found another salvaged ship AND IT DOESN'T HAVE HYPERDRIVE EITHER. Luckily for me I'm not dumb like some people - so I used save editor to add hyperdrive. How about that?

Believe that was in the last expedition you should not do it before there was a problem with iridium.
You can reach everything with the beginner ship or copy your main score with ship and multi tools.

I didn't say a word about Titan Expedition. I was generally talking about people making silly mistakes of trading in/abandoning their MTs or spaceships with important tech modules before getting on their feet and having access to the Anomaly (which usually has all tech). If you want an example from the Titan Expedition - people traded in/discarded their Multi-Tools with Terrain Manipulator module only to realise they couldn't craft a new one or even buy one at the Anomaly.

Good for you. Your post will hopefully serve as a good example for people to NOT do the things you've done... just to resort to save editing in the end out of desperation and impatience.

This type of issue helps make the case that Expeditions started from a "main save" need to have a way to "discard" them and re-start the Expedition (basically, like you can with non-"main save" Expedition starts - which you can simply delete (or not) and start a fresh Expedition game again in a game-slot).

I do most of my expeditions with small or new chars because I couldn't use one of my storage locations because I could only wait until the expedition ended and then I could access the char again.
A new char is usually worth recommending, you can do everything in the expedition with the char, probably with a little more stress.
