(Solved)A Blue diamond with a name centered on my ship appeared after update
So the title pretty much says it all...continuing game started, an information diamond with an exclamation point and blue background with a name "Corporal Dealdbina",,,it seems to be centred on my ship. I have no clue why or how to action it other than the name changes from system to system...maybe a relic world thing? no relic worlds in this system? i am in the space station and cannot see anything to do with buying or selling relics it seems to be a normal station. Any help would be appreciated

EDIT: SOLVED - originally after starting my pc I allowed the download and update to occur I then went on to boot up the game and this is when the issue occurred. I did a restart of the entire game (not just my save) and the diamond has disappeared. 10 minutes game play and all seems fine.

Same thing. Also, the cargo's doors open and close by themselves. As well as the absence of NPC ships in the stations.

Nothing resolved here. Present on all saves from other games.
So far, I've found that it seems to appear when an NPC is trying to communicate with you through your starship communicator.
For example, if I run into that darn space trader random encounter but continue to pulse away before answering, the blue diamond thingy stays on my starship.

This is not solved! I can reproduce this issue multiple times. You just need a random pirate encounter in space and then after the fight is over this annoying blue icon stays stuck to your ship until you save, exit, and then come back. When you get into another fight it happens again.
Hitchhikers have been appearing for a while now. I see them after a space fight, usually. If you have a second ship, you can shake them off in the space stations by switching to the other ship and then switching back. I usually pick up another quick enough though, and if I warp to another system, their name changes.
There's an NPC somewhere in the system that the game wants you to interact with, only the icon appears over you instead of the NPC. There was something in the notes a couple updates ago about how the game will point out un-visited NPCs. I think it's related to that because it's been happening ever since.
By the way, you could've just reload a save instead of restarting your system/game to get rid of the icon.

Note this will still pop-up on your ship if you pulse drive out of a communication, so yes it's still annoying.

Or if you fly on through an inconveniently placed NPC freighter fleet... or was it the part where said fleet got shot at by some uppity fugitive?

Edit: I wish it flicker a lot less though; even when correctly placed over an NPC, it is still an eyesore.

I get the same blue diamond recently. I assume it's a bug, but it's no biggie.
