Also remember, you can UPGRADE your Ship and/or MultiTool's Class, so don't skip over a C, B or A class, in your search for an "S" class
Thanks for your reply. I know about the ability to upgrade a class but aren't there innate class bonuses which you cannot get by upgrading? Also, if I have a A class rifle with 3 SC slot and were to upgrade it to S class, do I get another SC slot randomly?
A "natural S-class" is not always better than a "natural A class".
I should have taken a screenshot, but I was running an alt through They Who Have Returned. I had no need of a tool or ship, but I was checking them out regardless.
Any time a camp had that V-6 tool, I'd see if it was better than the one I already had to swap it. I found an A-class that was at the bottom of the range while I had a high ranking B-class. The difference was insane. Something like 1200ish dmg on the B & 400 on the A. I don't remember exact numbers, but the point is that the B was vastly superior to the A.
Point is, there's nothing special about a natural class vs something that's leveled up. There's a huge overlap in classes of all sorts & the RNG gods may just shine in your favor from time to time. Allegedly.
but MultiTool class upgrades are absurdly expensive, up to 50,000 nanites iirc. At least go for an A
You can save scum for a chance at it being the other type (pistol/rifle)
