It should be available on a new Expedition save converted to normal if you have built a base computer.
mine don't appear after I made a base .... so, is this a bug?
is there a way somewhere to unlock this technology?
is there a cheat key or debug script to make this technology available?
Reading your post more closely, verify your game files in case something is corrupted. Remove any mods you may have installed. Make sure your operating system and graphic drivers are up to date.
If you just started a new save for the expedition, you should probably do the tutorial where you build a base and staff it with techs. You will get a lot of FREE stuff that way- it does take a lot of schlepping to get the free stuff but digging up salvaged data is not a picnic either.
Another option is to just change the challenge sliders in options and give yourself all the blueprints. Not recommending that, but it is one of the options.
there is no CRU in the anomaly tree ... research station on the anomaly is the same as the CRU but different location, while you can build CRU at any place you want, including the freighter
also, there is no tutorial quest for expedition 17 Titan
If so, I suggest following the Artemis path to the point it prompts you to build a base. iirc, that side mission is where you get the CRU...
I'm pretty sure you can't get the CRU while you are still within the expo.
Either way, the CRU is pretty useless as it contains only the most basic build parts... It's vaguely helpful in the beginning, but you'll still be heading to the Anomaly for parts anyway.

Artemis you say? I'll try ....
there is no Awakening quest like the real normal save in the game ... besides CRU, expedition also don't have any technician or overseer building .... I miss a lot if I continue from the normal expedition game
Your save will still be marked as "Community Expedition" if it hasn't been fully ended.
The primary story missions (Artemis Path and Atlas Path) should be triggered after you end the expedition.
If you have correctly completed the Expedition, your Log should look something like this shortly after loading your save and flying around for a bit and answering your starship communicator.

If you still see an Expedition tab between Log and Options, then you haven't ended the Expedition.
hey, there was no AWAKENINGS mission in my log ... but there is ARTEMIS quest instead ... maybe this is only happened in Expedition 17 ?? ... I am hoping some devs can explained this ...
"Awakenings" is the tutorial part of the Artemis path. This is always skipped if you started the save as an expedition... it cant exactly remove and damage your ship to put you at the very beginning again...
In a normal save (with or without tutorial), you get the CRU blueprint by default as soon as you build a base computer because you can do so very early on, before you get access to the Anomaly and the construction terminal.
IF, during an Expedition, as the OP has obviously done, they access the Anomaly construction terminal on their first warp and buy buildable tech before they build a Base Computer (or possibly even unlock a Base Computer plan at Rendezvous 1), does the game recognise that they don't actually need the portable unit since they already have access to all the tech via the Anomaly?
However, in any other mode, the CRU is part of the base building mission, so I would be very surprised if you didn't get the part...
this is my first expedition
Once it's converted to normal mode, the only difference is that you skip the tutorial (Awakenings) and move straight to the Artemis path proper. (and in the case of Titan Expedition, you start with purple systems unlocked and will not be able to trigger Stellar Multitudes)
