Walker spawn
I recently got back into nms after about a year and half away. I have not been able to get the walkers to spawn at all, only once during the mission for the sentinel during the settlement.

I have like 50 or more encounters with all maxed level threat and tested many times leaving one drone left to call in the walker and nothing. I use the sentinel map location and fight them at the pillars and still no walker spawn, I am like wtf over. I research it and its all the same stuff telling me they spawn in a max level threat like I remember from long ago. I get maxed level threat kill them all and nothing happens after killing the last one.

Guess I am wondering if they changed something since I been gone or is my playthru messed up.

Walkers are bugged at the moment...
I do a lot of sentinel combat, but I've only once had a walker spawn correctly at wave 5 since Worlds 2 update.
I also once found one parked outside a building when I flew to another planet after a failed attempt to get one to spawn (wanted level had timed out before I got in my ship)

I recommend you submit a bug report... the more of use that report it, the sooner HG will attempt to fix the issue...

Glad it's not just me, The annoying part for me is that if I try to leave the planet, the interceptors spawn, and that's a whole other annoyance.

Not just the walkers, but sentinel encounters in general.

I've had them stall at 3/4 star alert with the 'quest' bottom right saying 0 sentinels remaining but the alert wont clear and new ones wont show up.

You have to leave the area where you were fighting to get the countdown to start... (or go inside or into a cave or something).
If you jump in your ship before the timer counts out then the wanted level is applied to the interceptors

The counter will only start if some sentinels are left alive, if you killed them all its either save/reload or a game of tag with interceptors if you dont want to do the space battle.

This is not true at all...
There are occasions where it will bug out and you remain detected wherever you are, but that's much less frequently the case, and has nothing to do with how many sentinels there are... But yes, if this happens, you'll need to save/reload, or warp/teleport away to reset the wanted level

same issue
I haven't reported this issue yet but I found if I go over a hill away from the direction the waves spawned from it will countdown saying the sentinels are looking. Usually takes 50 seconds but you can play as normal when its finished.

The five times I've had this happen I could always walk around the POI and find a location where the counter started again and yes the counter was down to zero

Confirm. It worked past week when I started to play. I had plenty of Walker brains and sold em all, as they were useless for me that time.
Now I need them, and no walkers are spawning. Hopefully will be fixed soon.
Right on folks, thanks all for the response and letting me know I was not alone in this. Looks like a known issues and hopefully they get it worked out. Keep on keeping on gamers !!

With everyones different experiences it's like even their bugs are procedurally generated.

The issue with the wanted meter not dropping is a separate bug that was around before Worlds 2...
It might overlap with the walker bug, but it's still a different issue...

Can't spawn a walker if you cant get to max star rating, so i'd say they are pretty closely linked, and whose to say all these issues aren't the result of a single root cause.
