How can I activate the pulse drive with one button on controller?
I want to know how I can make it so the pulse drive works with a single button press with a controller, the way it does on keyboard.

Xbox compatible Logitech F-310
Open NMS option and go to Control, Remap Control, Remap via Steam Input.
Edit Layout

There are Action Sets: In Flight is ours
I've configured the face button "B" to Pulse Drive.
Configured the Triggers actions to adjust Boost verses Thrust.

Right Trigger:
Full pull Boost
Soft pull Thrust

there isn't a default single button for that on controller,
maybe you can try to reconfigure your inputs

I tried that, but under Steam Input the pulse drive is tied to the roll function. There's no way to separate the two, as far as I can tell.

Well then there's your answer...

That's just as far as I can tell, maybe someone else knew more than me. Perhaps a mod might've been created for this express purpose but only put up on GitHub or something so I couldn't find it, I dunno.
no idea

Perfect, thank you.

Now my HOTAS is fully-functional, without sacrificing rotation on the stick.

Literally, since my desk isn't big enough for the HOTAS, keyboard, and monitor. XD
Wait, do you have any tips on how to get the camera to work right? Best I could do is tether it to the movement stick, but that's not exactly ideal.

I didn't know the camera worked wrong. Only I have tethered and inverted applied. I'm a push fwd ~ look down
pull back ~ look up

kinda like a head / neck thing

Quick Setting by Action Set:
Invert Right Joystick Y-Axis

Not sure this is something or not. I think I may have tweaked it to enable on menu for the starting starfield opening, but i'm not 100%

You may want to start a new topic for HOTAS support. I'm not a HOTAS user.

It's fine, don't worry about it.

Thank you for the help.
