Time Gating A Reward for your Fans is F***ing Stupid and Bad Marketing.

Thanks for making me feel unappreciated.

This thank you gift, while your intentions were completely sincere, was bad marketing.

You're alienating some fans at the cost of manufactured exclusivity. This isn't a thank you but instead a "F**k You" for missing out. The whole game is filled with content that's inaccessible due to time gating. Terrible practice. It foments a feeling of lesser than and eventually to stop playing because all of the cool ♥♥♥♥ is made unavailable. It doesn't work over time.

If you're giving a gift to your fans to thank ALL of them, THEN GIVE IT TO ALL YOUR PLAYERS IN GAME. Give them an option to claim it AT ANY TIME on all accounts created up to that point.

Time Gating in a short window with minimal notification is a really poor way of thanking your fans. Your communications weren't BROAD enough and the option wasn't available for a LONG enough period of time. It alienates those fans that don't hear about it in time. Some of your fans do have busy lives.

You could have simply made it available OVER THE HOLIDAYS to allow your more casual fans a chance at it.

Yeah, I'm annoyed. I would have liked to claim the ship. Instead it makes me wonder why I bother playing or supporting this company in any other endeavours. It definitely feels more like like a punishment for missing the newsletter.

Feeling the same way right now, saw them release the Expedition Adrift redux that i already did the first time not that long ago even, I thought I could play POE 2 for a week or two untill the next Expedition, only to check back 7 days latter and see i missed a limited time reward of my favourite ship, honestly it just straight up hurts to see that.

I can see you are pissed af, my brother in christ, but you can access all content, including those expeditions that are not available, through simple mod fixes and get ALL rewards legitemately. They will be unlocked on account legitemately as well. You just gotta "ReLive NoManSky" on github! Merry, brother.

The starborn phoenix isn't an expo reward (it is just a reskin of one though), but there are work arounds for anyone that really cares...

I didn't vote because player votes don't matter, but I still got the memo because I do pay attention to NMS News. That said anyone who doesn't check NMS news on a near daily basis, which is probably most players, could easily miss out. Having it available for such a short time window and not available on all platforms was silly. They should have made it an expedition reward.

It's just a ship that looks slightly different then another ship, your not really missing out. Knowing Hello Games it will be available again at some point.

yes i did vote for it so to did a few of my friends, and as far as i know none of us saw this as we had all been busy with other things, 7 days right before Christmas is just way to short of an amount of time to notice something like this for a lot of people, even the ones that have been supporting them from the beginning.

You had 7 days for reward to claim. Beside notifications and mobile app, you're no serious fan if you miss that. Oh to busy with life and casual player? Stay of the games then and don't complain - it's your problem not devs...
