Why can't I get to the nexus even if I start a new game without the tiutorial?
Why? I play this game for years, since the begining in 2016 and one of the best things they introduce in the game was I being able to choose the game mode I wanted to star the the game, that's nice!

But why the heck if I choose no TUTORIAL I still have to go to a butload of things I've done 3000 times before I gain acceess to the nexus?

It's just stupid, frustraiting and does not bring me joy when starting a permaded save for the 1000 time.... I ALREADY KNOW WHAT TO DO, please let me be free....

And by the way, just end up with the "approximate locations", they are just a waste of time for long time players and a frustration for new players!

Skipping the tutorial skips nothing other than the very first mission in the artemis path, that's it. Thus the only thing 'unlocked' by skipping the tutorial are those things you would normally unlock during that first mission.

To unlock the anomaly, all you have to do is make a single jump.

No it isn't, I did a jump and I still can't access the anomaly! I have over 2000 hours in this game, don't you think I would be aware of that?

Just start a game in custom mode (I don't think the dififculty settings are important, but let say you choose permaded with a few tweaks like I did), disable the tutorial and then ignore every and any normal quest defined by the game.

Jump how many times has you like and you will never see the Nexus station on that play!

Yah, I recalled someone saying in another thread a while back that you have to progress something with the artemis path now to unlock the anomaly, iirc. I forgot about that post when I originally replied here. (I was thinking of expedtions where it pretty much always unlocks after the first jump.)

I agree with your original premise that they ought to change that. It should not force you to do the story just to unlock the anomaly.

Yeah... it's just frustrating, they say we can play the game as we want but then we can't... it just get's me borred... And there's so much dead time between new expeditions and content updates.

It's like the current expeditions redux, I've done them all, for me this is the most borring time of the year! :steamsad:

And then I try to start a game in a way that allows me to play it in a different way and guess what? I can't, even when I have all these settings that imply that I do!!!

There should be a special end of the year update for long time players :steambored:

it would be nice if the anomaly was available in the starter system for 'no tutorial' runs... but tbh. for a vet player the run to the anomaly can be done in about 45mins (less with no tutorial) barring any squirrel moments

It's still 45 minutes more than you need if you what to play the game your way though?

If you're new to the game just follow the standard quests, but if you're a veteran as you say we should be able to avoid it, I'm approaching 3000 hours I'm game and it just gets trying to have to go through all that storylines over and over again!

We should have a "free roam" option after a we played for a minimum time of hours, like 1000 hours, by then we known everything about the game!

And if they had new features we just start a new game in normal mode!

Doesn't this seam reasonable?

This is getting even better, I finally got acceess to the anomaly (the nexus), went to Hyperion and unlocked the Cadmiun Drive! guess what, it does not appear on my tech stack to install!

!'m getting so glad I went for a "free mode" in this game! Basically "you can do wath you want as long as you stick to the story"!!! Perfect freedon
