I like the enclosed landing pad idea force field one for underwater would be cool too.

If they were to do something stupid like that I would be the first to abandon the game immediately, even if they eliminated any bugs.

flat earthers don't actually exist. It's a government run psyop used to discredit all other conspiracies that have far more legitimacy.
- Caves (Cave critters reworked)
- Dungeons. (load door caves/building with several lay outs)
- Lava flow rivers and Volcano tweaks.

- Swamps (nothing crazy, 1 to 2 foot deep water with new critter that lurk below/on surface)
- North and South Pole fun, (distance from Sun(s), decides if they get snow cap locations.
Last one... long shot, Planets that circle the Sun(s) or mimic it. To many systems were all planets are in a Row, and you have warp past stuff to find a world(s) just hidden in a row.

Player Space Station, aka Player finds an Abandon System, and can choose outer look, and a theme for inside and decide what Alien race runs it. (nothing crazy, but players can add pre-build lay outs) (to avoid crazy player from loading 10,000+ objects.. )
You could have Outlaw Theme, Farm theme Station, Exporter Guild. Trade Shop (so more then one vendor)
That would be nice, give two options for exit, one exits the normal way, the second in effect turns you around and you go into the back area, where there is a couple of bunk beds, medium refiner, cooking station, maybe the option to access one of the storage containers.
Give it better scanners with a longer range, the thing is huge, perfectly designed as a mobile exploration base for three or four people, give it sensors that allow it to detect deep mineral, power and gas resources, out to about 1k or 2k au, and will place a marker allowing you to then go and scanner them to find out what they are, the marker just says one of them is here but does not say which it is.
That could be quite a big mission line to get things going, you could even in effect split to decide if you are going to go with a pirate station or a normal station, then send you on a different mission chain to get the stuff to rebuild and get it running depending on if you want pirate or normal, similar to the way the settlements work, but with more time between things you need to decide on, those stations are big after all, and would take quite a bit of time to get working again I would imagine.
- Introduce more base building parts ie. scalable common geometrical shapes for every type (wood, stone, metal, glass).
- Smaller simple doors on a hinge, free to place ladders.
- More forgivable player constraint box in order to move between tight spaces.
- Make wall built spaces waterproof.
- More varied Bases, it's a shame they all look alike.
- Being able to dig much deeper into planets.
I second that and would also like to add:
- prevent terrain regeneration over bases.
-Energisation delay switches
-Alphabet stickers (though they don't fit the world view)
-Guest book.
-Elimination of message units.
