Every time I start Steam the game wants to download a large update

I've played two days ago and now the game yet again wants to download a 4 GB update. But the update notes says the last update was from 29 January 2025.
Are the update notes incomplete?

just for your info. the last update on public branch was February 06, 2025

There have been 4? 5? patches since then. Most were in the neighborhood of 4GB, but the last one would likely cancel out most of the previous patches.

Thank you. It seems then the store page does not show patches but only updates.

It's always better to check the Official NMS Release log especially if your running on the experimental branch.

The official release log is much more accurate with more complete info than the store page. However it doesn't show every single patch either, only the bigger, more important ones.

Since there was just a major update, every patch is "important", but come back in 4 months & there will still be occasional patches, some without any info.
