Server Connection

Has anyone had any luck with the game save servers? I haven't been able to connect all weekend and am wondering if it is working at all or I'm just having bad luck. Thanks.

No, same here. Game constantly trying to connect to servers in main menu screen (where you choose your saves). Same thing in your discoveries journal.

I'm having the same issue, havent been able to scan or connect for hours. Must be a server issue

It might be that HG have found a bug in the server side of the game. There have been reports here that discoveries are behaving oddly and there is a note relating to sea creatures appearing as extinct on the experimental thread.

If that's the case then they may have decided to take the servers off line while they fix this. Since there is that note it is possible that the client (our game) also needs that fix and so there is a server side check to make sure the correct versions are talking to each other .

A lot of this is guesswork, but with luck this will fix when the next patch drops. That said I have been wrong before so <shrugs>.

It's intermittent, sometimes can get connection,. sometimes not - PC version on Steam - but when it can't connect I regularly find I cannot build anything in the game at all, sometimes restarting the game gets it to work, sometimes not. It's barely playable at the moment though, since I never know when suddenly I won't be able to build ANYTHING which is sort of necessary for a lot of stages of the basic missions, never mind the new content.

yep, i have the same problem, but (i think) mine started when i tried to crossave my ps4 files to my steam acount, i dont know if that has anything to do with the problem or it was just a coincidence.

PS4 unable to connect to NMS servers all weekend.

Discovery servers are now up again, so whatever the issue was has gone away or been fixed.

So I spent all weekend trying to get my saves uploaded to the cloud, and now that the servers are apparently working again I'm back to getting the "Cross save beta is currently full" message again after it'd been trying to cloud sync the whole time the servers were down. WTF??

I couldnt connect for days and couldnt scan anything. Now I can connect to discovery services but my multi-tool wont scan. Tried everything. Le sigh, lol
