Both Space Engineers and Empyrion have an option to turn them off.... but you only really ever switch it off in those games to save fuel.... because they don't have a pulse drive, but do have a speed limit which is very slow, which makes you rage quit and come play NMS!!
While I somewhat agree to both, it does lack some of the physics to be a true flight sim,
KPS and another which I can't remember ATM, is as close as real flight physics your going to get. There maybe others I don't know of. Establishing orbital flight comes to mind.
I have many hours into Space Engineers and Empyrion, a few hours in KSP. I enjoy them all
including NMS for their content. Some of the expectations I have read exceed the limitations
of the game engine or that of the developers vision.
All of the above qualify as a space sim even though lacking some of the physics
which we know of.
I also would like to see inertial dampeners in NMS. Combat will be more enjoyable, more immersive.
The point is - if you don't like the game then don't play it ffs. Holy crap you whining little dorks. It's fine to not like it. It's even fine to suggest additions and submit them to zendesk. But, to sit there and type up a diatribe about how much it sucks? What kind of response do you expect?
And i love how people have to put word in my mouth in order to have something to argue with. I never said any of that in fact i think the physics in the game are just fine! it definitely feels like the thruster push me forward and spin me around, and that the flight assist automatically counters that to stabilise the ship. id just like the module they added to the game that claims to turn that off... to turn that off! instead of do literally nothing.
Edit: i think its this one https://www.nexusmods.com/nomanssky/mods/2237 Thanks my man! i knew the game had mods but until now i had only ever seen graphical mods
