Yeah, bug fixes are so useless aren't they... :steamfacepalm:
You can't please everybody.

People either complain that there are no updates, or that there are too many updates.

Updates are always a good thing. I even use mods and don't care about updates, thanks to the exml system now.

Clearly not... People complain that there are bugs, then complain that they get updates to fix the bugs... They complain about lack of end game content, then complain about new content not being available at the start...

It would be nice if they put patch news on their steam page rather than just big updates, but oh well.

Every update, especially one of this size, should come with a update/hotfix announcement. Every other game knows this, does Hello not?

Fixed an issue that could cause some plants and minerals to fail to appear on the discoveries list after being scanned.
Fixed an issue that caused empty star systems to generate too many synthetic lifeforms.
Fixed an issue that could make catching some fish very difficult on gas giants.
Fixed a rare crashed related to navigation.
Fixed a crash that could occur when playing the PS4 version of the game on PlayStation 5.
Fixed a crash specific to Xbox.
Fixed an issue that could cause framerates to be choppy on Xbox.

How does this game anger you so much? Do you play on 56k?

While I disagree with the OP's post I do feel HG have dropped the ball somewhat with this. I guess there were reasons why they released a large update half way through an expedition, but it stuck me as very odd.

If they had waited until it had ended they could have tested more, hopefully nailing at least some of the bugs that we have had, and would not have had to deal with any weird interactions between the update and expedition. ( Eg the blocked stage 3 portal.)

In effect they have doubled their work. Not only are they trying to fix bugs in the update, which is obviously welcome, but they have also had to resolve the various additional issues with the expedition, including extending it.

OK its easy to type in hindsight but I honestly hope they don't do this again and only release updates on solid code-bases, not temporary ones like the cursed expedition.

I can't wait for Geralt to release his space game
This is why they are almost Geralt.
Updates to fix the game and maintain it + improve it are always good

Because the fixes effect the main files, that is how most games update in today's world.
