Cant place items in build menu ie Save point

It says cannot build invalid postion but im trying to place signal booster or save point but when i turn on free placement mode I can place items but they will be in the sky. Anyone got this issue/fix?

I was having the same issue... seems to be working again for me, but not sure if it's just the planets I've been on (seems to affect some and not others)...
I can finally summon my exocraft, but their wheels clip through the ground, so they have no way to accelerate

The base building seems to be broken at the moment. I'm sure HG are working on it, but ATM I have these placement problems and I can't delete/edit placed base parts.

I had something similar that I reported a few days ago where anything I tried placing was highlighted in red and didn't register the ground. I didn't try the build cam, but the only thing I could place was my ship for summoning.

Did you by chance do a nexus mission in that session? The only time I've encountered it was when I did a nexus mission, and was gone after a relaunch.

if you want to save your game, enter you ship in and out.

But yes, I know of this bug. reloading your save should correct it, however.

I've been having the issue a lot, and I haven't done a nexus mission in at least half a year...
verifying files and relaunching did nothing to help

It seems to be random whether or not I can place freestanding base parts. Earlier today I just wanted to put a little light above one of my doorways and it just clipped right through and wouldn't let me place it. I think it's related to the problem with summoning exocraft and companions.

Im getting a lot of problems placing things. cant pick up or delete items. Placed a rover and it sits on pad wheels running, cant move or drive it. Cant delete it.

I visited one of my old bases and my colossus was just sitting on its spawn pad spinning it's wheels like CRAZY. I didnt try getting in.

Yup, the wheels just clip through the ground, so there is no way for it to accelerate
