How to start the new quest for purple system?
How do I start the quest for the purple systems?

I finished the quests for Atlas, Artemis, and the Autophages robotic race a long time ago.

I've tried to pulse space for several minutes in several systems, but all I get is merchants wanting me to see the cargo for sale.

Or is this a bug that hasn't been fixed yet even with the patches released?

You need at least the staff ... here are the steps :

Complete the Artemis Path (the main story of the game).

Atlas Eternal must show in your mission log, once Atlas Path is completed.
Find a Harmonic Camp and release the multi-tool seal.

Warp to trigger: They Who Returned and complete the Autophage missions.
Return to space and pulse until hailed.
New mission: In Stellar Multitudes should trigger.
Finish the mission to reveal all purple systems on the galaxy map.

:Info: These are the known steps as of update 5.5 Worlds Pt II (29 January 2025) and are subject to change.

Do you have a star seed?
On your list of factions is the autophage race shown at the bottom? If not then you didn't finish the questline.
If those and Atlas, Artemis are done then I would just go to a Korvax dissonant system and it should pop immediately with first pulse.

Most folks think they have the requirements finished, at least from the other 30 threads currently in this forum, but they are missing something crucial. Might want to read a bunch of the other threads too to see all the other issues people are having because they are not following the directions or otherwise not paying attention so the quest goes sideways on them. Humans have a terrible time with directions. It's just in our very nature to squirrel off and blame the game.

About the star seed, I don't remember if I have it or not. It's been a long time since I finished the main quests. But I have the recipe, I believe.

About the autophage race, I'm sure I finished the quest, because I have the staff, they are listed in the faction list, and I've even done many missions that the autophage race gives to receive the void particles.

I'm sure I finished all the main quests, and most of the secondary quests... from settlements and several others.

According to you, the quest starts in dissonant Korvax systems, right?
I thought it started in any system, just like it was with the autophage race, which was in any system, and then the game itself sent me to a dissonant system.

I'm not like most people who skip tips and tutorials. I always read everything and do everything. I never ignore anything. However, this quest, no matter how much I check the space, doesn't start.

That's why I came here to ask if there wasn't some unfixed bug (which I think is unlikely, because they've already released at least 2 or 3 correction patches.)
The star seed s/b in your tech inventory. It's red and has a buddy. If at the very end you got creative and refused the Atlas then you wouldn't get a seed blueprint. If it is not in your tech then make a new one.
I just use the dissonant korvax system because it always works for me. I am on my third run through so I do what works.
Neither the "Star Seed" nor the "Mark of the Denier" are required (I removed my Mark and the quest still triggered).

The new quest (In Stellar Multitudes) will start in ANY system. In fact with save editing, I can make the new quest fire off on a brand new save while headed to the space station for the very first time.

What IS required is that your Atlas Path mission now be labeled as "Atlas Eternal"
You must also complete the Artemis Story and either refuse the Atlas OR create a new Galaxy <- both options are acceptable.

You must also complete the "They Who Returned" entire quest line. <- if you're not sure the only mission that "might" be in your log is the one for spending Void Motes
Whatever...
System doesn't matter, any race will do. Sometimes it's just is stubborn about starting. I finally triggered it by going to the space station brain thingy and showing it atlantideum again, then immediately pulsing off into space until I got the communication notice.

I see.

I have the mission labeled as "Atlas Eternal" , i already complete artemis path and atlas path. I refuse the atlas.

Also, i complete this quest "They Who Returned" , because, i have void motes a lot, almost all autophage skins and staff.

Well, i'll try this. I hope this works for me.
Yeah, sadly for some "older" saves (saves with lots of hours on them) the game just gets stuck.

I was able to help another Traveller here: https://steamcommunity.com/app/275850/discussions/0/595139573830423898/
