nvidia geforce experience unable to load optimal values
Has anyone any ideas why I get this message - nvidia geforce experience unable to load optimal values for NMS? Is there a way to bypass it?

Things to try:
1) Uninstall NVidia GE
2) Use NVidia Control Panel, the NVidia App or both (depending on what you need them for)

And are you launching FROM Geforce Experience? I couldn't get RDR2 to launch from the NVidia App a few days ago, but it launched just fine from Steam. (Not sure if it had to do with me applying the DLSS Override.)

I didn't get the same exact message, but it was similar.

I'm not 100% certain what you did. Did you try to LAUNCH the game from Geforce Experience?

No. Launches via shortcut and steam.
If you can't figure it out, I'd start by using DDU to remove all the NVidia stuff. Then reinstall the Drivers + NVidia App (not Geforce Experience which is being phased out).

I also still use NVidia Control Panel but you might not need to.

Make a SYSTEM RESTORE point prior to any changes.

Doesn't matter.

Huh?
He literally said the ERROR says Geforce Experience so why would it not matter? That's why I recommended he uninstall it and try the NVidia App instead.

uninstal it, use the new app from nvidia
Ok thanks all. I thought it was the NVIDIA app. I will double check.

Taking advantage of the topic, if you are going to use DLSS override, is it necessary to open the game through the nvidia app or can I open it through the shortcut and the configuration that I left in the nvidia app as "the most recent" already applies to the game?

I've used it and I'm pretty sure you just open the program from ANY link you'd normally use, such as Steam.

Then the in-game DLSS version should be replaced with the latest DLSS version that the game supports. Or whatever is relevant based on the NVidia App settings you chose.

(I'm 99% sure, the only reason there's any doubt is that there's no indicators AFAIK. But it should LOOK slightly different and the FPS should change slightly depending on your hardware.)

Geforce Experience is the OLD version that's getting replaced with the NVidia App. You also had to LOGIN to the old version.. also, NVidia Control Panel still has settings that the NVidia App does not. I have BOTH the NCP and NVidia App installed.

The NVidia Control Panel is also supposed to be phased out, but they just haven't replaced everything yet.

Yes I have the new app. Other games are fine, just NMS since the update.
I have the Nvidia app, not GE, and am having a similar problem "Unable to retrieve settings. Try again later." All other games seem ok, just NMS with this error. Edit: Driver 572.16
