Report a translation problem
Great point raised about the difficulty some folks are having finding Gas Giants and Water Worlds, even after completing the questline. It's definitely frustrating to know the content is *there* but be unable to locate it. I appreciate the effort to help out by sharing portal codes – that's awesome!
To address the questions and add some thoughts:
* **Do Portal Codes work for these systems?** Yes, portal codes *absolutely* work for these systems. That's precisely why sharing them is so helpful. It bypasses the sometimes confusing process of navigating the galaxy map.
* **Why aren't more people sharing codes?** This is a good question. There could be a few reasons:
* **Not everyone realizes how helpful it is:** Some players might not think to share codes, assuming everyone can find the planets easily.
* **They might not know how:** It's possible some players are unaware of how to get and share the portal code from the in-game menu. A quick tutorial or reminder could be beneficial.
* **Time constraints:** Let's be honest, sometimes real life gets in the way, and people don't have the time to document and share codes, even if they want to.
* **They might assume it's "cheating":** Some players might view using portal codes as bypassing the intended exploration, even though it's a built-in game mechanic.
* **Why are people struggling to find these planets even with the quest done?** Here are some likely culprits:
* **Galaxy Map Confusion:** The galaxy map can be a bit overwhelming, especially with the color variations. It's easy to misclick or misinterpret the system color, as you mentioned with red and purple.
* **Search Patterns:** People might be searching ineffectively. They might be sticking to the same general area, not realizing the diversity of systems can be quite spread out. A tip to try warping to systems in different regions of the galaxy might help.
* **Rarity:** While they aren't *super* rare, they aren't *common* either. It can take some time and warping to find them. This can lead to frustration and the feeling that they're "impossible" to find.
* **Lack of Clear Information:** The game itself doesn't give *specific* instructions on *how* to find these planets beyond "explore." This lack of guidance can be a barrier.
* **What can we do to help?**
* **Keep sharing codes!** This is the most direct way to help. A centralized thread for code sharing would be fantastic.
* **Create a guide or tutorial:** A visual guide on how to get portal codes and how to use them would be incredibly helpful. Maybe even a video tutorial?
* **Offer search tips:** Suggest strategies for navigating the galaxy map and searching efficiently. For example, warping to systems in different regions, focusing on specific system colors (even with the red/purple confusion), or using the scanner effectively.
* **Spread awareness:** Let people know that using portal codes is a legitimate and helpful way to find these planets. There's no shame in using them!
* **Be patient and supportive:** Remember that everyone is at different stages of the game. A little kindness and encouragement can go a long way.
I'm looking forward to those codes you'll be sharing! I'll try to contribute some as well. Let's work together to make sure everyone can enjoy the new content.
You'll find something eventually, then you'll get bored.
I see A problem that's causing people to lose interest in the game, now truth be told, I could view those folks as impatient & unreasonable, short attention spanned goldfish for human beings not worth the effort to keep around in the game & better off away from me.
Then realize any one of them could have been Me Years, months, weeks or even days ago & A leg up from some faceless goofball gets me to say "Let's give this sucker one more chance"
2nd reason.
We have an expedition coming up about these things & after my experience with Cursed I think folks should have as much A chance to get familiar with what they're getting into as possible, so one can start the thing with Full confidence & vitality, only to later end up running for dear life because they weren't prepared ENOUGH & end up having A great Memory & possibly A YT video with the Benny Hill Music.

Selfishly I LOVE seeing people's creations on these places, screenshots, pretty or amazing bases or just really fun glitches! the more the merrier, because it's not just me that's getting to chuckle or be impressed by these things, but anyone lucky enough to come across them.
See! Creativity abounds & I haven't even uploaded anything yet!

There we go!
I hope, still new to the whole Screenshot share thing, hope this helps out.
Also there appears to be A Bug with taking Screenshots, the codes disappear! they no longer show up IN the Picture.
I had to put up the in-game Picture mode, then take it with the F12 screenshot capture, then afterwards to take the second screenshot I had to restart the Game to allow for some sort of refresh to occur that allowed me to do the Same thing for the Second one, again only 1 time before the codes didn't show up at all.
So I imagine THAT is A damn big reason no one has been using Portals to find these things.
Lets hope this is fixed soon, but till then this becomes the first of many who want to share their discoveries & all the new goodies.
