Building Issues – Objects Not Registering Surfaces Properly
I've been having major issues with the building system in No Man’s Sky. When placing foundations or floors, I can hover them into position and clip them as expected. However, when it comes to smaller objects like wires and cabinets, they don’t properly recognize surfaces. They either clip through floors or hover awkwardly, making precise placement nearly impossible.

Snapping also causes problems—turning it off allows placement, but then objects don’t behave correctly with the terrain or existing structures. I’ve tried all the usual tricks, including free placement mode, snapping toggles, and using temporary guides, but nothing fully resolves the issue.

Has anyone else experienced this? Any fixes or workarounds? If not, I hope Hello Games can look into improving object placement mechanics.

Yes, I experience this regularly. Quitting the game completely and restarting gets things back to normal. Also, Hello Games does not read these forums. Report all issues to their Zendesk:

If that's the case, why is there a bug-forum, then?!?

Thanks, dude. That guy can't even figure out where to buy Exosuit tech in the Anomaly in another thread. I don't expect them to understand that if you want something actually fixed, you report it to Zendesk, while this forum is for community provided support, just like what was done in this post.
