What is Polished Stone used for?
I'm currently exploring in Calypso, and traveled through a random black hole to arrive at a new unexplored system. One of the planets was classified as type "Reliquary" which I have never seen before so of course I had to go check it out.

The planet appeared to be mostly water, but on the small islands I was able to find there were ruins of old stone structures. These were different from the typical archaeological sites you can find using maps. Most of the structures could be destroyed with my mining laser and they each gave me a certain amount of something called Polished Stone. In my inventory it is marked with an R and has an icon that looks like Lemmium except instead of yellow background it has a gray one. The description says it says that it can be found on ruined worlds, and that it's used for building or charging.

I couldn't find Polished Stone on the NMS wiki so I figured I should just ask here.

The Polished Stone makes the new 'Old' building parts...
it is one of the new materials with Worlds Pt 2... i think it is used to build your own relic bases with the part you find like those stone structures you are shooting...

You can find some objects on these ruined worlds, that unlock building parts (ruined wall, ruined totem, ...). Polished Stone is one of the required building materials.
