Echo Locator and Harmonic camp (possible spoilers)
According to the fandom-wiki, there is a relative easy way to get to unlocking the autophage: complete Artemis-Story and go to a harmonic camp.

But finding this harmonic camp is the problem: according to the wiki, they can be found through an echo locator, which are dropped by sentinels guarding a harmonic resonator.

I completed several waves... but didn't get a single one, yet. So, do they still drop?

I also read another way to get to the autophage: You need a completed settlement and your own sentinel for this. (I didn't read further) Which will take much longer, I suppose. I didn't start to manage a settlement, yet...

So, is there another way to locate harmonic camps on dessoiate planets? (through exocraft scanning, for example?)

I completed the purge. (resetting) Got to a new galaxy, but did go back to Euclid eventually. (although I created a green one, I didn't get warm with it...)

I just want to unlock the staff and the purple systems.... I completed the Artemis-Questline alone because of that!

All I need is to trigger starting those Quests. I find out the rest. Once you are on a mission, the guid in NMS are pretty good. The problem is, to get the mission started...

Echo Locators or Inverted Mirrors are dropped by Dissonance Resonator (big corrupted sentinels with a fin-like antenna). You find those on dissonant planets, look for a twig-like symbol with your scanner.

Adding to this that dissonant planets only (and always) appear in systems labelled dissonant on the galaxy map.

Yes, I did read that. BUT: I only got Inverted Mirrors. And those items are only for repairs as afar as I have found out. (I did make the mistake and created a new galaxy, while my interceptor was active. With the result, that I had to scrap it, because the repairs needed another hamonic brain... (I had the luck, eventually, that it apeared at a space station as active ship after scrapping others.)

I know all about dissonant planets. But the locators didn't drop yet, this is the reason for my threat.

I even already found one of those camps, after hte patch, where it got released.(but that safe is long deleted. I tend to begin a new game after a new content-patch... and this is the first time, I completed the story. ) I'm also not realy sure, if I can find one after competing a complete wave. Maybe I'll try that again. However. I did complete one on an abandoned planet. the reuslte-message was: "found nothing". And I did a complete one on a haraz plantet. The icon was one of a crashed ship, and I did land because of that, however. So I believe, I didn't find the real location after completing the complete waves there.

But my question still stays: Is there an easier way to locate the hamonic camps? if yet, how?

They have a 20% chance to drop an echo locator and 80% mirrors, so just keep trying and you will eventually get one.

...and you will get them instead of a mirror, if you destroy a resonator? Or is it a real drop, like the resouce-canisters for destroying sentinels?
There is a small chance they can be Guild NPC barter items and possible may also appear in Pirate Stations as mission rewards or trade items. It's simplest and probably quickest to do what you're doing visit a dissonant planet and pew pew everything sentinel : ) Different dissonant planets may drop them more frequently or less frequently.

Also you might request one from other players if you don't mind asking at the Anomaly in multiplayer mode. Possibly Nexus Missions might offer them too but I'm not sure about that.

I got mine by fighting sentinels after killing one of those machines.

I think it's just random. One other thing you can do if you have a well-modded ship, assuming it actually works in the current state of the game, is try defeating 5 waves of ship combat in a dissonant system. The sentinel freighter is supposed to always drop an echo-locator.

.... assuming the stupid thing actually spawns, because walkers are bugged, and so is Wave 5 on dissonant worlds (you can defeat it but it goes back to wave 1 immediately).

the only thing, I might asking for, one day, is a void egg... I realy want to get a living ship someday. But I will never get the Quicsilver needed, since I don't play with foreigners and I don't have friends, that play the game... yet. But thanks for the tip. Also thanks for the other tips.

I already did that several times. But I only got the items, the leads you to crashed ships. And you won't find harmonic camps out of only that... The dreadnaught isn't that hard to defeat, especially not, if you fly a sentinel ship yourself... But yes, it works. It also works with normal sentinels. Only the landwalker for normal sentinesl doesn't show up. Completing stage 5 with corrupted ones, also works, to my esperience. (I got and according message on a fire-harzard planet. I believe you got directly to stage one agein because some patrols spotted you? I also got a message on an abandoned planet with no life. This was "nothing found", however.)

But the tip, that it may depend on the planet is important. Maybe I just tried it on too hazardous planets (toxic and fire so far.) and I just need to find a gaya-one. (I name earth-like just gaya, regardless for hazards, which may also be there...) And I know, they exist, since I got one in my last play. I didn't find one in this playthrough so far, however. Maybe I just need to keep seraching and try it again there.

Thanks @ll for the answers, I got a lot of interesting info. And I will try again, now.

But I have a last question: IS this the way to go to get pruple Systems unlocked? And IS there realy another way available through settlement-management? (E. g. will both scenarios unlock the autophage-race and therefore unlock purple systems eventually?)

I have a particular planet that DOUSNT HAVE MOUNTAINS where i always collect echo locators. I have a Sentinal tower already marked, so the first thing i do is go there and disable the sentinals... then i get in my buggy and go shoot every resonator i can find without consequence.

There have been occasions where i have spend over an hour killing resonators and gotten ZERO, i repeat, ZERO echo locators... other times i get 10 of them within five minutes... the RNG is a nutjob in this game that has no sense of what percentages are supposed to be.

I didn't know, that towers also exist on dessonate planets? Hm. I don't intent to desable them, however. The glass, that drops can be convertied into seninel moduls, and they realy give A LOT of nanits. For completing an attak-chain, you easily can get 5000 nanites worth of converted glasses.. at least to my experience. And I just annihilate them with my minotaur. (I did find out, that this is realy easy and the way to go, if you want it easy.)

FYI, when you disable the sentinals, all the loot drops remain for you to pick up - planet wide. Usually near the resonators, so every time i pull up to a resonator in my buggy, i get out, kill the resonator, pick up the loot, and move on to next.
Yes, but where is the fun, if you can't BAM them to pieces anymore...? ^^
I know of the towers. I got there on normal planets in my last play. I didn't go there in my current, yet, however.

I DO hope, however, that at least a stage 5 walker shows up, there... Or am I realy forced to install the conflict scanner for free, using the according setting, at the moment? (because you can't get walker brains,...)

The simple answer is that fighting sentinals is not the task at hand, and i can go fight sentinals anytime.

what i want are as many echo locators as i can get my hands on as quickly as possible so i can go and find a better multitool and setinal ship.... and the glass for better sentinal upgrades.

Hm. But I did read, that the quadrabled sentinels drop them too? if that's the case, it's even more worth to fight them. (It wasn't the case for me, yet, though And I'm not sure, if that is true in the first place. That is, what the fandom-wiki says, how to get, them, though.)

But another questioN; why do you need so much locators? Once, you've conctacted the autohage and unlocked them, don't you get tech for your Multiool, which with you can locate the harmonic camps, then? At least, that's what I read at the fandom, wiki... (yes, I'm repeating myself, I know.)
La forma más sencilla de conseguirlos es a través de el gremio de exploradores, suelen ofrecerlos si tienes el nivel necesario
