Trace of metal bug

Spoilers ahead if anyone has not done the quest but when i get to the crimson void i contact it and all it does is freeze my game i can move the ship but i am stuck in the zoomed in for the crimson void. I cant get out of it unless i close the game and i need to do this quest to access the new content. Anyone else having this bug and any fixes? This is the only time i have had a mission breaking bug.

same, its been reported a few times on here. only the weapon switching and boost buttons respond.

Same issue here. Could be related with the new update Worlds 2. Checked that some user has already reported it, so I'm hoping for a new fix soon.

Trace of Metal, nor any settlement quests, have been a requirement for the Autophage for a long, long time. Long before W2 dropped. Last time I did that line was several months ago & it was already not necessary.

I think there must be some old post from a random reddit idiot or youtube moron that's still pushing this info or something

It's been repeated all over the place and if this is true it REALLY sucks because going down that quest line to the bugged part completely prevents any other pulse quests from activating so I can't pulse in a dissonant system to get the message and start the autophage questline.
