Space Anomaly Space Station Kind of Cheaty? Kind of Spoily?
Anyone else feel the same way? I mean I am on my second system and I can basically buy every upgrade in the entire space anomaly having 9,000 something nanites on me already since most upgrades cost 50-400 nanites. All of the traders I can get most all of the upgrades that would be farther through the game. Also I do not know if I like spoiling stuff by seeing other peoples armor and ships and pets, all of these things I should not even be anywhere near knowing about yet. Cheaty and spoily to me. My group is deciding not to be using the space anomaly because of that. What do you guys think? I think the Space Anomaly Space Station at least needs to be more balanced for sure. And the people present that you are able to see needs to be more balanced too. Don't want to be walking among no life gods and discord mods at my second system. XD

I like it when people see things as too easy & create their own rule set.

Good on you guys.

There's a Survival/Harsh/Expensive game setting for a reason

I think it is a great idea personally but the execution has major balancing issues.

It is spoily, I've always felt it was, but it got spoily cos the kiddies must have everything now and so HG just gave in to it.

If you have been collecting twitch drops for a while, you can claim dozens of free A-class ships and multi tools, get a ton of advanced tech from their inventory and then salvage them for money and upgrades right after unlocking the anomaly for the first time. EZ start

Why would you want to go through the game that quickly is my question

I will give one piece of advice though. Don't forget this is a game. I have my own rule set on a save, in regards to scanning fauna. I'm an explorer cataloging every critter I come across. I've spent 4 days searching for 1 rare molerat before.

But sometimes it's frustrating, sometimes it's just not fun. I've been down to 1 critter before & just mentally exhausted with a planet before. Or the aggro-sentinels are being extra aggressive & I just can't get anything done because I'm constantly dealing with them. Or a planet is all vertical surfaces & it's just a pain in the ass to move around.

If I get to the point where I'm just frustrated & not enjoying the challenge anymore... I move on. It's just a game. Don't let it get to you so much that you forget about that part. Sometimes it's ok to cut a corner just to move on. How that exactly applies to a "no anomaly" play is up to you to decide.

Have fun!

That is very true and much needed. Thank you

Whats "spoily"? Its an online game after all, you're supposed to show off youre new skins and stuff and see other player's ones. And theres literally NO way to meet with other people or even with your friends except until you finish the main quest (which will take a while for the first time). The hub is a necessity.
I've seen people that mess with a save editor to bump their stats and tech to infinity. And its not bannable or anything. The anomaly isnt anywhere close to that.

I am not saying it is not something that could be a necessity. But it does need balancing to prevent spoily and to prevent cheaty. I do not know how you do not see it being spoily or cheaty even. And why would it being an online game constitute it to not have a problem with being spoily? That does not make sense.
Hello Games played it smart. They saw their potential buying market and made everything easy to get starting with NEXT. Just before NEXT was the golden age of the game IMO, but it was really grindy and took forever to get places but you felt accomplished once you made it to the center or to the galactic hub and you appreciated other players who had achieved the status of NMS vet.

So their strategy has worked well- they are in the top 20 Steam Sale List this week. The game is pretty awesome looking and they have brought back a little challenge with the sliders. I think it was a bold move to allow every player to just tailor the game to what they prefer using the sliders.

It would be nice if we could get some update specific sliders so if you want to play by the rules from Pre-Next you could do that.

I mean, I get catering to the people for positive reviews in all simplicity. But it could still be balanced more because it ruins the experience for people that might want the hub but do not want to see end-game gods at their second system and who do not want to get ridiculous tech at their second system.
