You can own 30 ships per save now.

You can now have up to 12 active ships AND store 18 ships in your freighter. Check the fleet management console on the bridge.

Yes, but be aware that while it will retain installed modules; it specifies that any "excess" cargo will be destroyed. At least that is what the terminal on the freighter bridge says. So, be sure to clean out whatever cargo you have on your ships before sending them to "cold storage", so you won't lose any loot on them.

Not true.
You can still have the previous 12 ships plus 18 in the archive. That makes a sum total of 30.

I only see 6 slots, but I have less than 6 ships so maybe you can scroll once you have more.

You only see the ships you have... so if you don't have 12 ships you wont see them...

That's so players don't just gather ships as extra storage. As someone who's been asking for a ship 'garage' for a long time, I'm fine with it. The menu design could be a little better, but that's just nitpicking and an opinion. I'm totally on board with how they implemented it.

Just think for a minute: How would they have implemented it otherwise?
We all had 12 slots, many of us will have owned that many ships, or at least some more than 6. If we now were only allowed 6 active slots instead of 12, then HG would have had to make the decision for us which of them to archive and which not. And those in the archive would have lost all their cargo!
Can you imagine the outcry?

Of course that makes sense.

I always keep a very minimal amount of ships in my saves so Im just reporting what I see on my freighter.

Seems I misunderstood you...
You were specifically talking about the Hanger management page...

You will see the second page once you have 7+ ships in your collection (there is no point in letting you view an empty page...)
