Cross-Save?

I'm sure this has been mentioned in various streams, but is Cross-Save going to be a thing for everyone? It's been full since announced... curious why they would announce a feature that cant be used after months. I'd very much like to take my PC save (+700 hours) on the road with me and my Switch. Thanks!

it is still in beta and being actively worked on... they opened it for a limited number of participants so they could get a lot of wild saves to work with and ensure there's no problems... give them time... there's a lot of data to deal with...

It's in very early Beta (I'm one of the few here who got in to help test), and it's buggy as hell, so it's either a long ways from release, or players should expect problems if it's released too soon. Either way, patience is the key. It's so bad I've even considered opting back out a few times. I also do a hard manual backup of all my saves at least once every day.

We've had dozens of complaining, whining & even grossly entitled posts here about how they can't get in. Please don't become one of those children. I think it's a longer way out than people understand.

HG learned a big lesson about delivering on promises when they released NMS. I sincerely hope those lessons are fueling decisions on when to launch new features like Cross Save or the new game their small team is working on, Light No Fire.

It has made some significant progress since that post, but there is no telling when it will be ready for release. I still make manual hard backups at least once per day.

As of the new update, it just got broken beyond use again, although I'm hoping that should be fixed quickly.

I applied & got in because I want to help HG, not because I'm being selfish. To be honest, I haven't really used it as a player - I've got it to work, I've got games to play on both systems, but I've only been doing those things to test it & haven't actually spent time playing the same save on 2 systems.

I'm not sure how widespread the Cross Save failure was on the W2 update, but I emailed HG & it's working again for me. I believe that's because HG has responded to some of my Zendesk reports, so I could reply directly & I have an active Cross Save ID number.

Anyways, since my previous reply it's sort of working again. Still a little wonky, but it's definitely on the right track for public release.

It's been months... I signed up as soon as it was announced and It has been full since.
They need to put a notice on the cross save webpage. saying its not working
