Black Pixels?
I have a question for techies.. I had no issues with No Man's Sky before the new update. Til they added new expedition and new Worlds II update.. I'm honestly not sure if it affected my graphics, but it looks like it has. Or is my gpu dying? I need your intelligent minds to tell me from your standpoint if it is that or this.. I'm kinda of freaking out, haha. A lot of people are having issues with it right now for several reasons. My GPU is AMD 7900XT and there has been no driver updates since Nov (wtf right?) When I played NMS, it keeps showing some blackness when I press some buttons and it'll show up in the background in cinematics, behind menu windows, etc.. in depth of field kinda of thing if you know what I mean? Also my FPS shot down to 44 right now when it usually is over 100s. It comes with AMD Fidelity thing (FSR?) by default. I never messed with it, but.. I always played with VSYNC on, then my bf told me that it should always be off. I know the black stuff is not screen tearing so it cannot be vsync, right? so I had turned that off. I thought it went fine til I opened some windows to see and it appeared again so I dunno what it is!

First two screenshots are how it started to spread from right to the left..

I tested other games, had no issues.. I playd D4 and I dont see any of that, and it went up to 155 fps.

Sooo.. can anyone narrow down to... what the problem is? haha. Thanks so much! <3

I have the same video card and same problem. When I restart the game it goes back to normal, then after awhile it happens. AMD Radeon™ RX 7900 XTX 24GB GDDR6 Video Card (Single Card)

I have the same thing. I got an RX7600. When I change the anti aliasing it fixes it for a while but I have to switch around the setting from taa to fxaa every 20mins or so
i never had a problem until this update either, and i doubt it could be either of our computers, or mine at least cause i can still play other games and such. no mans sky just gives me audio and thats it, for a moment i was able to see the dev logo but nothing else. and after restarting my computer i get nothing but sound again.
Also having this issue on a 7900 XTX. Came looking for a fix. Good to know I'm not alone!

I was told it could be shader issue, so try deleting shadercache file and start up the game again. (Steam\steamapps\common\No Man's Sky\GAMEDATA\SHADERCACHE)

Yeah I dont have issues with other games either. Odd. Hope you find something that works. Try resetting to default again?

I've tried this and it doesn't work...

Best way i've found around it and it's a very short term fix, is changing some graphics settings (and they can be randomly), and then it dissapears... but comes back after a short while, and only happens when I go into menus/inventory... it seems to be the blur / depth of field effect that is affected.
7900XTX also

My wife has the same issue with a 7700. When it starts happening, opening some menus (like inventory), darkness will seem almost fluid in the background as it creeps over the background screen. Like others: only started after this past update.

Same thing. Im running a 7900xtx also.
Looks like it might be an AMD issue judging by the Specs listed above.
