As for gameplay, it never changes. If you don't like it, play something else.
When you start a new game, you'll always begin on a "ugly" planet because you have to learn the basics, aka survive in a dangerous world, so it'll be always planets with very high or very low temperatures, toxicity or radiations.
Now if you want to discover beautiful planets and stuff, I suggest you to learn the game enough to leave your planet or even your solar system, beautiful planets are not that far if you stop complaining and make everything you can to discover one.
If you get bored after multiple attempts in your total playtime of 21 minutes, there isn't really anything anyone could tell you to keep playing.
It's hard to see any differences, if you never played much in the first place.
Also, my eyes are bleeding from the draw distance in the game. I think I set the settings to maximum, but it was still very low, and I could see plants and monsters loading in just 50 meters away from me, and behind them, empty fields.
I'm playing on an SSD with a 1660 Super with FSR
Your interest and sense of fun are dependent on you.
It's a sandbox, how fun/interesting is sand?
How long it takes to find the lush planets that are often featured in trailers is dependent on RNG and how much you actually explore in the first place... (you always start on a hazardous planet)
Maybe you should try turning settings down if your setup cant handle rendering fast enough with them on high...
I am super bad at this game, but I love it. And I think it is pretty beautiful. I have not bug for now. The down side for me it is the worlds seem a little bit empty and lack of animals/plants doing their things.
Maybe try to play with someone else ?
edit : trying to be more clear
And if you care about draw distance, you maybe are misunderstanding the game. Also, 1660 with FSR doesn't matter, the game is working mostly with the CPU, the GPU has nothing to do with it except the textures, FPS and screen resolution.
