Where's the new stuff?
Alright, what am I missing? I launched the game, but the planet terrain looks the same. I flew to another planet, and it still looks the same. I went into the ocean, and it's the same depth and just as empty as always. The lighting and post-processing are definitely updated, but the worlds are not.

Have you tried going to NEW Systems and Planets?

So, it's only for new systems? Ugly ones stay? That's lame.

New means unexplored systems in the Euclid galaxy?

Negative. New planet types are already in the previous systems, besides gas giants, not sure though. I've yet to find a purple system and have landed on a few of the new planets. Older planets have been updated for sure.

Since you're answering my question, one would assume you know the answer.
I started a new game, this system can't get any newer.

Ah, you didn't mention that you started a NEW game.
My bad.

Also, the patch is as new to me as it is to you.

I still haven't found the Living Buildings from the patch from last year..

Had a couple of hours....Everything looks the same!

Yeah, so I checked three systems and landed on six planets, they all look old. Nothing even close to the trailer. I pass, not playing hide and seek with this update.

Imagine what new players will think when they launch the game for the first time after watching the recent trailer.

They mean purple star systems, not undiscovered systems. You get a new mission to unlock them after completing the main story and autophage missions.

Last I heard, that "Complete the main mission and the autophage mission" isn't true.

You need to play like 30 hours now to see them. Or cheat.
This isn't remotely true. I have a relatively new save that is not that far into the story (literally just got the hyper drive installed and warped to 1 system) and have already landed on some of the new planets.

I started a new save and I’m not interested in doing the missions.

Am I locked out of the update?

To my knowledge the new terrain, gas giants and water worlds are only in purple systems. The new biome types and procedural assets can spawn anywhere.

Welcome to the club my friend.

For us the update is absolutely useless.

Locking it behind the main story is the worst decision ive ever seen in my life.

I want to see this WITHOUT being forced to do the story, i DONT WANT to do them lol

You should be able to use the save editor to unlock the hyperdrive upgrade

Is this enough to see the new systems? Just unlocking the warp drive?
