A new living ship?!
How can I get a new living ship?
From the same egg as the old one, or through a some new quest?

Yes, I heard there's a save editor, I've never used it, it's more fun to play without editing for me. But thanks for reminding me, I'll keep it in mind! :winter2019coolyul:
A word of warning, living ships can't be geared as easily like the normal ships. This new pending ship may or might not be like most living ships. We will have to wait & see whats up first.

I already have a few living ships, but this new one looks cool, I just want to get it for my collection, it's unlikely I'll ever use it as a primary. As always. I have tons of ships... :D:
Now I have to wonder, I started an Egg just before Worlds II dropped, the timer is over for the Brainstem looking thing, but I haven't done anything with it since the timer hit zero yesterday afternoon, got called into work 2 hours before it was up.

So now I have this Brain stem part or whatever comes next in the process, wondering if I should leave it for when this new ship comes around.

Is it A reward like the Boundary Herald & Iron Vulture, or just unlocked as A ship you CAN get through the whole Void Egg thing?

Then there is no point in keeping the brainstem, it has nothing to do with the new living ship. This new living ship will be the reward for a future expedition.

Amazing how this forum will just jump to cheating to get get something that's not even out yet.

It's not really. Cheating is almost sponsored content here.
When updates like this happen; the "announced" but not yet available Expedition rewards will be listed in the Quicksilver vendors expedition rewards section.

PS Let's not re-hash the whole "cheating vs not cheating". You play the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ game how you like and I'll do the same :nmsatlas:

It's not a debate. It's pretty black and white. Cheating is cheating. The debate is if you're ok with doing it.

Pushing it on others is just a douche move.

Especially on unreleased content. It just shows you're so comfortable with cheating to get what you want without trying for it, that you won't even try for it when it comes out.

I never said there's one way to play. You can play the game however you want. But don't pretend cheating isn't cheating. If you want to cheat, that's your prerogative.

That's my one rule-break, respond to a blocked user for the day.

Seems strange they mention it as A new Ship if it's only going to be available for the Expedition, perhaps it's A type that's the Reward?

Because they're little trailer made it seem like it's A new addition to the Game as A whole & not just an upcoming Reward & that right there gets to misleading.

Could see it being unlocked AFTER the Expo for the game at large, but if this is not so I don't doubt there's going to be quite the Session of screaming, wailing & caterwauling that'd put every halftime show ever made to shame.

Let's hope it isn't so, there's only so much Kettle Flavored popcorn A Man can eat & I'm not usually one to be A Voyeur, but I have made exceptions in the past, Hello FF XIV Beta Test! the tears were delicious & the flame wars toasty warm!
The devs tell us exactly how we get the new living ship. Wipe the popcorn grease off your t-shirt and read the whole thang for a change and quit with the wild guessing and then getting all pissed about non-existent issues about unreleased assets, or any other asshat-ed related and totally unrelated issues you feel like making up.

Maybe you should read the patch notes...
Wraith Starship
Survey new worlds in the Titan Expedition to claim The Wraith, a unique living ship dredged from the inky depths of a water world.
It's not a new class of ship, it's a specific "unique living fighter" that you get in the Titan expo...

Also, on PC I already saw it in Expedition rewards, just not unlocked yet, with note: "To unlock finish phase... of Expedition 17" - or something like that.

Labeling save editing as cheating sounds so whiny. Your third paragraph sounds like a guilt trip tactic as well, if it was cheating then why doesn't Valve or Hello Games have any measures with Anti-Cheat? Because they don't whine like you do about it. You only came here to complain about people save editing and to be a seeker of fair play justice in a game where people don't have time to grind 40+ hours to experience something new. In your second sentence you act like it's forced when it's a recommendation for people who may have real lives and don't sit on their a** to play video games 24/7
