Starborn Phoenix problem
So I claimed the Starborn Phoenix ship on steam when it was available, but did not claim the ship in-game due to out-of-game technical difficulties.

Am I SOL for receiving the ship now?

Go to the Expedition Rewards NPC and instead of claiming an expedition reward, tell him you wanna claim a special reward. It should be in there and it should be available for all future saves too.

If you completed the "purchase" of the free DLC, then you will be able to claim the ship anytime.

No. You did not need to claim it during the period it was available. You did need to "purchase" it for free. "Purchase" means you needed to go through the full checkout process like any other "purchased" item.

If you did not "purchase" it, you do not have it.

Steam > Settings > Account > Account Settings > View Licenses & Product Key Activations.

If it's on the list, you have it. If you do not, you do not. Learn to use the search bar.

The more you call me a troll, the more of a troll you actually are. Insults are reflective of the person issuing them.

I already regret trying to help you. You must be a real special person. One that must get called a 'troll' a lot. That's reflective of who you are as a person. To use your own words/logic.

I did "purchase" it but I do not have it on my account.

Also, did I call you a troll? No, I did not. So, therefore, by my own words and logic, I am not a troll.

I do get called a troll a lot but I am also misunderstood a lot. There's a strong correlation there, too bad you will never figure it out.

Goodbye, extremely rude/blocked user. May you be permabanned from this platform.

I completed the purchase but it does not show up on my account.

Goodbye, blocked user.

You mean thank you for giving you the correct answer & a method to find out for certain?

No, you did not purchase it if it's not on that list.

PIss off, blocked user.

Nice attempt to lie and be rude. I remember exactly what I did and did not purchase.
There were a fair few people who did not actually complete the process. I think one of the links people shared was broken too.
Unfortunately, if the DLC is not credited to your account, then you didn't complete the process fully/correctly...
Claiming the ship in game during the offer wasn't necessary... I've still not claimed it in game yet, but I still have the option.

The first link was a bit misleading, instead of adding it to your account it was redirecting you to the dlc page. There you had to click the 'add to cart' button a second time before proceeding to the checkout.

Some players just clicked on the first button and never went through the checkout process to actually buy the added item for 0,00 <local currency>.

I got through the entire checkout process. I went through it all.

It was not credited.

If this is the case and it does not show up under your registered licenses as
1x. Dec. 2024 Starborn Phoenix Ship Limited Free Promotional Package - Dec 2024 Free
, you would have to contact steam support.
But since the item was free, buyers never gotten a confirmation email with a recipe. So, unless you saved the on screen recipe after the transaction, as pdf or screenshot, you are out of luck to proof your purchase.

There are plenty of other posts discussing alternate methods to unlock the starship.

That is highly unfortunate.

I do not want to use save editors or other things that would be called "cheats" in other games to get a prize that I could have and indeed should have gotten legitimately.

It's just a reskin of the starborn runner anyway... you're not missing much

Fair enough, and I actually have the Starborn Runner, so...
If you failed to get the purchase on your account, you can reach out to someone who does have it, have them roll a fresh character and they can sell you theirs off the new save. It will not be linked to your account, but you can get it for you specific save.

As said above, it is a golden reskin of the Starborn Runner. So, same ship, same stats, just different colors.

If you can't get it from the QS vendor, I can give you one if you want. I claimed it on a save I plan to delete. If you're interested, please contact me.

I had no problems with the ship, it may be best to restart NMS, I now have 2 of these ships.
