I think I've come across maybe one or two naturally.
Same with the synthetic fauna...
I've seen at least a dozen. Maybe a little over half that with synths. A few 3/3 synths as well which supposedly didn't exist.
I think my success rate is how many planets I see, plus I'm in Eissentam.
I scan every critter on every planet, & even with finishing both expos, I'm almost finished with my 29th system of the year, so probably 150ish planets, plus both expos.
I explore mostly by dipping into a system, finding the lush/tropical worlds with my capital ship's scanner, zooming down to see how they look and plopping down a base computer and teleporter if I like the planet so I can explore it more later. So, I've seen a ton of planets and only have come across those 2 on my own. They're rare gems.
Oh there's definitely a lot of luck there.
Another weird one was 5 of the first 25 were Abandoned systems. I've gone months without seeing one of those.
