Best way to get to 300K selling fish
What's the best way to do this? They're all sitting in my cold storage atm, and I want to start selling them off.

Do I need to sell them all in one shot? Can I sell them at the space stations? Trade rocket? Those random trading locations on planets?

Help a fellow traveler out here!

It doesn't have to be all in one go... if you select it as your active mission then the tips in the bottom left of the screen should show your running total ;)
You may have to cycle through the tips to see the mission related one though (left on d-pad on controller, not sure on keyboard)

I do find the rocket the most convenient way to sell them, but it's entirely up to you.

Thanks! Been a while since I played and sold some early in the expedition and didn't have it selected and didn't get credit for it.

Forgot about that little gem, lol
What i did was focus on doing other missions, and sold only C class fish to clear inventory space. After doing all the other missions i sold everything, even the minus priced ones and immediately achieved that mission.

You have to land a legendary fish for one of the rewards. Just selling this took me v close to the 300k. Other things I noticed is that fish for the deep and from during storms, or indeed anything that makes them rarer, increases the value substantially.

Just sell them at your leisure. The quest is a running total, & you have to catch fish for other milestones, so the best way to sell 300k worth of fish is to ... fish.

I should clarify, I don't need tips on how/where to fish. I sold fish earlier and did not get credit toward the total. Hence why I'm asking the best way TO SELL THE FISH, not acquire the fish. I've already got them, I just don't want to sell them and not get credit again!

I received a quest marker for trade terminals. Essentially, the trade terminals in any station I visited, or the one I had installed in my Freighter.

It does not need to be in one go. I'm not sure why you didn't get credit. Perhaps you did & it didn't show up right away. Perhaps what you sold didn't count as a 'fish'. Perhaps something was just buggy, but I doubt that.

I just sold them off every time I visited a space station & it eventually awarded me the milestone. Didn't try for it at all.

Now that I've got a bit more inventory space, I'm going to try to do that. That and the storm fish are the only things I need to finish the expedition. Thanks!

If all else fails, sell The Angler

As for inventory space, the nutrient processor has 50 slots ...

As far as fishing going inventory space isn't an issue.

Just summon the skiff and fish from it, it has a seperate storage so when fishing occasionally empty your haul in it, then resummon it later when you intend to sell

Yeah, I know that, but unlike the space ship, you cannot access its inventory on the space station, so you have to have space to move the fish from the skiff into your inventory (or the ships) in order to move it to be sold.

And if you're like me, who doesn't focus too much on expanding tech and tech slots in expeditions, and have pack rat syndrome in games, it can take a few trips to get things done.

Build a small fishing base with a terminal.

Fishing bases can be quite simple. But that sales terminal is what makes them useful.
