I try to start my game and it is not even opening
I'm not really sure what happen, I took a break from the game and I try to open it recently and it fails. I see on my task manager it trying to open the game but It wont even pop up. Idk If its something wrong with my computer or the game but I can open other games on steam just fine. I tried re-downloading the whole game but its still not working. How do I fix this?

i'm having the same issue. steam client will say "launching" and then switch to "stop" but then a few seconds later go back to "play" hopefully someone has found a way to resolve this. because i have not.
same
delete this file and try again C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\No Man's Sky\Binaries\SETTINGS\TKGRAPHICSSETTINGS.MXML

Then you have all the normal stuff + vc redistributable. vc is the issue a lot of times. Use 566 and not 570 drivers for nvidia. Ensure nvidia control panel using default let application decide settings for no mans sky. The exception being force vsync off as needed and vulkan present method set to prefer layered on dxgi swapchain as needed. Last i use but isn't required. Vsync off is for dlss framegen to work with 570 drivers.

You can also try the below in steam/nms/properties/launch options and add this line. Note i use it but don't believe it's required. Unless some overlay is really misbehaving. I use several overlays so i use it just in case as it's required for some of my other vulkan games along with prefer layered on dxgi swapchain.

--keep-vulkan-layers

Other then that try posting OS, hardware, driver version etc etc.

For nvidia some say deleting or renaming this file forces it to use the lastest one instead "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\No Man's Sky\Binaries\sl.pcl.dll"

Obviously this is being addressed here, and that's fine, just wanted to point out that this is a tech support topic. You'd more efectively get attention of people who intend to solve technical issues over there. :steamhappy:
