Atlantid Drive No Longer Working Outside Expedition 17
I finished Expedition 17, and carried my Atlantid drive over from the the expedition. Now I suddenly can't access purple systems. I've tried reinstalling the drive on my starship, reloading the game, etc.

Worth noting, I'm still working to wrap up the Autophage quest line - so if it's due to my save not "unlocking" purple yet, then okay. However that was not communicated anywhere to my knowledge. I want to say I was able to warp to purple systems the day I switched my save back over, but I noticed this week that I can no longer even see purple systems on the galaxy map.

Am I alone here in experiencing this?

Thats normal.. in your main save you need to do the mission for purple systems

If you did run expd17 from a new save you will be able to see purple system as soon the expd has been converted to normal save

This is 100% by design. If you did the Expedition on an existing save, then it does not provide a shortcut/bypass to completion of In Stellar Multitudes.

Starting a brand new save with the Expedition does provide Purple system access and prevents triggering of In Stellar Multitudes.

Begin the Titan expedition from the Expedition Terminus aboard the Space Anomaly, or from a fresh new save, which you can later choose to convert a Normal Mode save.

Note that new saves converted to Normal Mode in this way will continue to have access to the new purple star systems, and the story mission In Stellar Multitudes will not be available.

oops i have been wondering why Stellar Multitudes have not been triggering but that explains it :steammocking:
I read those patch notes really carefully and they stealthed that information re new saves and the fact they are a shortcut in recently, right? Right? :steamlaughcry:
its working if you finish the main story lines

Well, darn, I had hoped to do the expedition in a Abandoned mode game to get that drive.

It's not worthless in that you still get access to red/green/blue systems

Thanks for the follow up! I sort of suspected that to be the case, but I wasn't finding anything when searching online.

I opened up purple systems on my main save and visited some gas giants. Started an abandon save in the expedition finished it took my fully loaded wraith ship back to my abandon universe I can now visit all systems but purple but could why I was in the expedition think that is bad design.
