Well, those don't come along all that often. How do you make those appear? Because I get five waves of Sentinels when I go for the Gravitino Balls at the dig sites, and there's maybe two quads among them and one or two of the smaller walkers. The ones with the flame throwers.
The big walkers don't even show up.
And after I've defeated the fifth wave nothing shows up any more.
How am I supposed to destroy something I don't even encounter?
I can't even recall why the big one popped up somewhere once. I know I've seen it once and I destroyed it once.
Experimental Branch 20/02
Fixed an issue that could cause Sentinel Walkers to fail to spawn.
Thanks! Looking forward to that!
Is that also why nothing appeared any more. The wanted level was up but no more reinforcements arrived. If it weren't for the nerve-wracking music staying on and the wanted level displayed in the corner I wouldn't even know any Sentinels are out to get me.
I haven't tested taking off to see if the Sentinel Dreadnought spawns in space.
Normally they will spawn once you reach sentinel wanted level 5
I had no trouble getting the sentinel dreadnought, but your wanted level always drops back to 1 when going out of orbit so need some fighting.
Also if it spawns right on the atmosphere limit, it will turn invisible when you go into the atmosphere and reappear when you go into space. Highly recommend not fighting it there, its annoying.
Now when will this roll out to stable? idk. They also have a terrain tessellation bug that needs to be addressed, things like this take time to resolve as they have to coordinate with NVIDIA for these types of problems.
Looks like they may have implemented the fix for the "Walkers don't spawn" bug overnight.
(Either that, or I hit one of the 'once in a blue moon' exceptions.)
BTW. If the glitch is NOT fixed yet, and you want to get rid of the music, and the summoning of Interceptors when you get in your ship, try the following (it has worked repeatedly for me.):
1. Fight the battle through to the 5th wave, and kill all Sentinels that DO show up. The last one is generally a Hardframe or a Quad. Then the 5 dots stay red, and the threat music drones on, but no more spawns (unless you go far, far away from the battle site, and the dots drop to a lower threat level.)
2. Hop in your ship, but DO NOT take off. Wait through the warnings of approaching Interceptors, and approaching Sentinel Dreadnought, until the dreadnought makes a firing pass. This should be at about 1 to 3 seconds remaining.
3. Hop OUT of your ship. After about 2 seconds, the Sentinels should deactivate.
The local Sentinel forces will not me disabled. You'll be back to square one on THAT. But on the other hand the threat will be back to the level of "normal play".
I once saw a Sentinel Dreadnought, I think. The instructions told me to hit something on its underside, but you try to find the underside of something in space!
I don't even know what to do about regular Dreadnoughts. I keep shooting at things, from the missiles to the big guns, to the weird spheres in the trenches, but in the end the civilian freighter gets destroyed and the thing hyperspaces away and I don't know what I should have done to prevent that.
