My Helmet Crab pet can't be summoned after adopting.

So I just found an awesome hermit crab alien. I adopted him and it there immediately on the screen is visible and will act completely normal but if you look at its stat page its image is missing as soon as its dismissed it WILL NOT let me summon him. I can summon any of my other pets no issue. I reluctantly as abandoned him and tamed another of his species. Same exact thing 3 of them tamed all 3 of them bugged and won't summon, I tried saving and reloading save, didn't help. Tried shutting game down completely and rebooting, didn't help. Sadly this crab was really cool looking an may have been my favorite pet find so far and it won't let me have him. Is this known bug? Is there a work around?

I have the same thing going on. Helmet crab, doesnt summon. I dont think theres any messages about it. it just doesnt go through

There is a fix for adoption of crab pets in the current Experimental build which should hopefully make it to the main version this week.

Here is a tip: When you tame a pet you need to REMEMBER the terrain type it is home in! This directly effects the ability to summon.
